Recommendations for cell phones in Hyd

by ilayaraja_fan » Tue Dec 28, 2004 12:20 pm

hey guys,

I am coming back to hyd after a long time and my dad wants a cell phone from "abroad" :) I have tried explaining to him the fact that the selection & variety of GSM phones available in India is much more than in the US, without luck :?

I have found a site which sells GSM world phones in the US - http://www.expansys-usa.com

any recommendations?

he was particular about haing a phone with a camera :)

There are not many sites in India where you can buy phones online but you can try http://www.baazee.com Or go to any Nokia Priority Dealer and buy the phone. They are there in all major cities of India.

P.S.:When are you coming back home? ;)

yep.. I am trying to decide between the k700i and the i-mate smartphone

one of the main problems is - I cannot see most of them personally - to see how they feel in my hand

yep.. thats true.. but most operartors/carriers in the US have discontinued the t610.. most popular ones right now are the different models of Nokia or the cousins of t610, the t630's and the t637's

It depends on when you are coming.I got mine from ebay.If you are coming sometime during the next month then you can order one,if you get one from Amazon I think you have to get the contract too.So try ebay.If you are coming through europe or dubai, then get one in the duty free(Its a lot cheaper).Get the new Nokia communicator or the sony P910.They are worth it. :D

whats the point of taking so much pain to get the latest stuff? anyway, 90% of the time, u use the phone only to make/recieve calls or messages, along with storing numbers, which even a Nokia 3310 does efficiently
wtf? i no longer care if my posts hurt yr feelings

the T610 is one dabba, most of the lower range phones (i.e., 10-20K  ) of SE freeze very quickly and the good ones i.e the P series is just toooo expi.
