Don't remember any of it. You see I suffer from short-term memory loss.
Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

so far 2004 has been a year with the highest amount of spice for me, had a share of everything, to start with the good things, moved to brisbane from Sydney to start my PhD. secondly, almost got married twice with 2 different girls, but luckly escaped, made great friends and met awesome people. travelled a lot, had the best experiences of a life time... swam with sharks, chased the stars, demarked galaxies and what not.

on the bad side, had 2 major break ups, had one of the worst times of my life, had a bad tyrip to india, moved out of parents place while i was there, still in no good terms with them.

thats my year in brief.

First Quarter:

The year started off great; I finally passed in EMF after 11 attempts!

Middle Section:

It slacked off during the middle (after April). A lot of controversy, as we were denied another attempt at 2nd yr BE, and were told that we would have to give four extra subjects. But after a lot of tod-phod at the Univ. and police and news reports and bribing, we were allowed one more chance (after we had already appeared for the four extra subjects).

I cleared Machines and Network Theory in that last gasp attempt. I was at last clear of 2nd yr and was eligible for Final yr BE.

Came back to Hyd in July and took up a .net course at NIIT. Stayed in Hyd until October, completing 80% of the course. Went back to Nagpur for my Final yr examination.

Last Quarter:

Then during the evening of 2004, my sisters rishta was confirmed all of a sudden. It was a very pleasant and shocking development, and wwe all then dived into the preparations of the marraige. I had to rush back to Hyd. The start of the last quarter of 2004 was then MashaAllah a very enjoyable one, with the marraige and everything.

Then after the marraige, I went back to Nagpur, and was just in time for the start of the exam.

The Viva came and went very smoopthly, filling me with a lot of confidence for the theory exams. The stupid papers set by the examiners has spoiled what could have been a great 2004 for me. But since my exams have not gone well enough, the last part of 2004 has been somewhat bad for me.

Ups:

1. I passed in 2nd yr

2. I was eligible for Final yr.

3. I gave a satisfactory performance in the majority of my exams.

Downs:

1. Exams did not go as well as planned.

2. My sister got married, and now we are all alone.

3. I have to leave Nagpur for good. Nahiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii....

This year was a very good one for me after a bad 2002 and an average 2003.

Highs :

Stabilised professionally after a bad phase.

Made a couple of really food friends.

Got a wonderful TV.

An even more wonderful bike.

All set for an increase in my family count.

Lows :

Couldn't see my nephew yet. He's almost a year old.

Couldn't go home and spend time with mom and dad.

Broke off with a friend after a nasty spat.

In all, the highs scored way ahead of the lows and so, it was a good year.

out of interest, was that a freudian slip on the 4th line of your post? :)

Me and Lizzy actually have something in common, how about that? I almost got married twice this year as well............one was kinda serious, but glad its over. Moved from California to the east coast and changed majors at Univ (again) Met numerous celebrities, ate out too many times, shopped like hell, grew my hair really long, then suddenly cut it really short. Bungee jumped and got hunting and fishing licenses. Thats about all. The best of 2004 however is, I finally perfected my Ras Mallai making skills. They come out like a dream now :)

Ya, same with me, i prefer ras malai to the kind of dreams u have Aqua, not that i dont like the kind of dreams you have(except the animal part of it).

Also good to know that we have been sailing in similar directions. But the best of 2004, i have to say is swimming with sharks in the wild. Was kind of freaky, but at the same time, something you dont get to do very often and I am still alive.
