i thought la dame/la femme was the lady in french and la belle was the beautiful girl. anyway, my french could be wrong.

Actually, your french is on the dot.

La Belle : The beautiful girl
La Femme : The lady

actually i selected this name because i read a poem in my tenth which had a title "la belle dame sans mercy" which means beautiful lady with no mercy.the poem is really good if anyone gets a chance pls read it.
