the "drops" of water can make a difference only if the class of ppl who browse the internet also participate enthusiastically in the voting during elections.

most of us detest going to vote and view that attitude with pride. when some policy screw up happens, its not use lamenting the quality of the politicans.

the policy makers wont care a rat's ass for online petitions. voting in elections make a difference....not these things

That drops->pot of water analogy doesn't really apply here vishalandhra! In fact, the politicians will wash their turdy asses with the water you collect 8)

The rhetoric about reservations in private sectors is very much alike John Kerry's tirade against outsourcing. Deep down...everyone knows its detrimental...including the advocates of the policy. And they also know that this is nothing more than a ploy to garner votes in elections.

Is it too hard to comprehend that neither the American govt. and nor ours can dictate much to the private sector. So, all this talk of reservations is nothing but an eyewash. Wait n watch.

The private sector can always get around these things.

Even if reservations are made compulsory they will make sure that they take only qulalified and able ppl. thru tests...and inteviews...

I've seen that happen so many times, it is not even news now.

Last week a woman came in with a ot of matter to type, and when I declined to give her a discount, she almost broke down and told me her emloyers gave her only so much money and they were expecting her to either get the printouts or lose her job.

CHENNAI: Dravidar Kazhagam leader K Veeramani on Friday asked MPs and central ministers from Tamil Nadu to demand that a bill for reservation for backward classes in the private sector be tabled in the ongoing winter session of parliament.

In a statement, Veeramani also called for the new bill to make reservation mandatory in all departments of the judiciary and public service commissions and to do away with the concept of a "creamy layer".

Reservationsin private sector

by vislandhra » Mon Dec 20, 2004 10:47 am

May be that can happen,

bcz if YS type CMs are there they'll give the reservations to any body without consulting any one.what happened in the minoriity reservation in AP.if court was not there another 5% of seats will be gone to reservations..

There should be either no _ reservations at all or there should be reservation for all the religions (not just only for hindus as it now).
