Cocktail Party

by Aquarian81 » Fri Dec 10, 2004 9:44 am

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is having fun this winter, with inumerable Christmas parties, Hannukah parties and new year parties. Apart from being invited to these parties, how many of you throw them? and what theme do you prefer?

Im throwing a 'Juicy Holidays cocktail party'. The cocktails and eggnog served will be non-alcoholic. But I still need Ideas!! and thats where you all come in. write down your favorite mixed drinks and the contents.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!!!

my favourite suicide drink

Warski:

The thing to remember while mixing this drink is VTTR

Take 1 large shot vodka

1 large shot Tequlia

1 large shot Tia Maria

1 large shot Malibu

Stick them all in a pint glass

Top up to 3/4's full with strong cider

fill the last 1/4 with red bull.

I recommend not having more than 2 in your lifetime.

ps i know you said non alcoholic, for this just substitute non alcoholic cider, vodka, tia maria, malibu and tequlia.

pps have a great party! man i miss Christmas parties.

i'll be very happy with a bloody mary with lotsa tobasco sauce in it! :P

u can make it with non-alchoholic vodka too....

ingredients: AFAIK, it contains: vodka, tomato juice, tobasco sauce, salt. dunno abt rest of the contents, if any.

it has to be served in a chilled glass with salt coated rim....

i've always wanted to block up the inflow pipe of the attic tank, run all the taps in the house until the tank is empty, then fill it with cocktail mixture. voila, now everybody can serve themselves from any tap in the house.

downside - the toilets probably wouldn't flush. also if someone really only wanted a drink of water then you'd have to get bottles in.

try blending bitter cranberries with dry vermouth and ice cubes and top it up with sprite or soda, it tastes awesome.

well, thata was the mocktail

coming to ccocktails.... well... MArk... i dont think i coulod be as hardcore as an Irishman, but being a die hard alcoholic, all i can say is... anythin is good with Absynthe and Tequila and ice cubes

my favs are

large peg absynthe, equal gin/vodka and topped up with pine apple juice and add a few mashed berries(i prefer black/cranberries) on top., well the secret is do not shake or stir.

 I am humbled. Even the thought of the green fairy makes my stomach go to pieces. Tequila sunrises, however.. spent some time in South Africa a few years back, every evening i'd have an ostrich steak and a couple of tequila sunrises made with SA oranges. man that was class. Hyd's a damn nice place but i wish it was by the sea. nothing like an watching the sun set in the water with a few cold drinks.

sorry Alexis i shall stop spamming now. :)

Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback. I decided on the drinks and hors d'oeuvres and keeping my fingers crossed that this party will be the buzz of the week :)

The traditional drinks served will be: Bloody Mary, Shirley Temple, Mudslide, Kamakazi, and Eggnog. And I created a custom drink for myself called 'The Skinny Bitch' Its basically diet cherry coke with 3 tsps of heavy whipping cream. Low-carb and yummy to my tummy :P

Thanks everyone, Happy holidays and a wonderful new year (in advance)

Kitty party?? just cause my parties are alcohol-free, doesnt mean they're sissy kitty parties. You have to attend one to know what I mean. Ever since I started living on my own, Ive been known for them
