Nuclear warfare, only solution to Paks woes

by mark » Fri Mar 11, 2005 10:01 am

only kidding.

but seriously, was there ever the sort of fear in India of nuclear war that there would have been in the west during the cold war? My mother told me they went through drills (get under the table, that'll help apparently(and don't look directly at the blast, you want to have your eyesight intact when you get vaporised) ) at school, etc. and this is in Ireland, possibly the last place in the world anyone could be bothered targeting with a bomb.

The pakistani govt. is too unpredictable....its like handing over a loaded gun to a rogue kid.
People are crazy, at times are strange. I am locked-in tight, I am out of range.
I used to care, but things have changed.

Lol... india mein life ka itna bhalue kahaan

First of all, we are a young nooklear power with a huge population, low literacy levels and not enough resources. So it is kinda difficult to prepare the people for the fall out.

Its only now, after 5 years after going nuclear, that the paramilitary and police/civil authorities are being trained to handle the nuclear situation. It will take some time before they are ready and then the general population is made aware.
