It is indeed sad that this query has not elicited a response in a whole month. Well, I hope it does. Being a luddite, I sure am curious about developments in the technological arena. I am also curious about the Gnome project. Can someone throw some light on this?

wether you guys concur with me or not, all i have to say with my 10 years of experince on windows and couple of years on linux, is that linux rocks for the most part and windows being a copy cat operating system. It gives nothing but headace and hell lot of hardware hungry.
