Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

tendulkar's been there since 15 years, holding up our team when it was weak and giving it support now when it is strong. dropping tendulkar is UNTHINKABLE.

agreed, his form is just average right now - in the last ten one-dayers he has scored at an average of 34. but ganguly averages 18 in his last 10 games. even sehwag hasnt been in good form in the ODI's. same goes for laxman in the last 5 one-days. why single out sachin?

I have a reason when I say 10DulKar to bitha diyo. After he is kept out of the matches for some days. He will straighten out his priorities and perfomr much better. Since is not getting time to reflect on his dismal performance he isnt performing well. I dont want him to go away. I want him to think about his position in the team and then live up to his name. Samjhe HP and Rainmaker...

so acording to you he is a spoilt child who needs to be spanked with a rod (making him sit out is equivalent to that)... and then he'll come to his senses?

do you know, before every match, tendulkar is the 1st guy who gets into the nets for practise? he keeps working on his technique even though the world (bradman to chappel) say he is the best. such humility seems almost unreal.

if he fails with the bat, he makes a mark by bowling well or running about in the field saving runs. even in todays match he took 3 wickets. i havent seen such commitment among many other players except for dravid and steve waugh.

and u still havent answered my Q. why have you singled out SACHIN? in his past 4 tests, he has scored a 241 (not out) and a 192 (not out). four ODI's ago, he scored a century.

badmash....appreciate your point

But considering Tendulkar's experience in the team, he's not the player whom you shove on the sidelines for a couple matches just to get his form right. It'll have more negative implications than positive.

What he really needs is some counselling by some cricketing personality whom he respects a lot...probably Achrekar. He really needs to remodel his attitude in the team.

I feel he is loosing focus on the field. What with all the opening of the hotels and other stuff. I think his performance level has gone down considerably. Maybe he is the best batsman in the world but he will not be the last. If he doesnot perform well maybe somebody else would, he should make space for some one.

I want him on the team, he is an exceptional performer but he needs to get his priorities straight.

Tendulkar is in despensible ...even when he is not in form....its not only abt batting or bowling or fielding....the very presence of his in the room makes sure that the younger lot is inspired to perform. and as far as i know he has only changed his technique and is playing non-risky shots. thats fair as long as he is not slowing down the run rate too much.

i agree with Badmash here. 10 needs a break to recoup his form. its not tht we have to depend on him for a win. we have won a lotsa matches inspite of his bad show. a break wud do him lotsa good and he'd be back with full vigour.
