Nani : Music review

I guess half the city knows me as an ARR fan, i am one!. Just bought the CD of Nani (New in tamil). I think the poster of this film is better than the music. The poster is just perfect, not too vulgar, just sensous.



The audio has 7 tracks. The first one Nani Vayase performed by Blaazee is similar to the Baba rap in Baba. Remember B to the A to the B to A..Baba thats what they say!!. The rap is good, otherwise the song is a bubble gum. The second number Chakkara, is ordinary. Even SPB could not make it sound good. In fact, the song is badly recorded.



Thrid number, Pedave Palikina, is boring guys, the rhythm is ordinary and even gets noisy. Rahman should get rid of Unni Krishnan, after this song. The fourth number Vaste Nee Venuka is peppy. The kind which you might want to blast in your car. The beats are usual loops used by many, but the treatment is innovative. Fifth number, Naaku Nuvvu is...i don't know...bad!. But not as bad as 'Spiderman', the sixth song.



You see when, rahman uses singers, he treats their voices as a sound. This works with many singers, like Sadhana Sargam and Adnan Sami. Not with Nityashree, which is why Markendeya, the last number in Nani sucks.



Overall guys, it is an ordinary score by Rahman. But much better than what Telugu film industry guys puke every week.
