Kuch desh bhakti ke gaane

Maa tujhe salam <br><br> We are going to celebrate our independence day in few days. Mujhe upar ke gaane yaad hai. \"Aye Mera Watan Kay Logon...\" Always brings a tear to my eyes. Remembering the jawans who laid down their lives for the country. <br> <br> Otherwise, the present day politics and politicians leave me with little hope. Never forget Tehelka.com journos being hounded like they were criminals. We are educated Indians, but mute spectators. <br> <br> Just remembering Independence is not enough, we should guard it and punish those who abuse it, playing with our sentiments.

Kuch desh bhakti ke gaane

by Kulcha Hyderabadi » Sat Aug 09, 2003 9:11 pm

To me, \"Kar chaley ham fida jaan watan sathiyon, ab tumhare havaley watan sathiyon\" remains a powerful and compelling patriotic song. The song was written by Kaifi Azmi and composed by Madan Mohan for film \"Haqeeqat\" - A terrific song indeed made immortal by the voice of Mohammad Rafi. Another one, \"Watan pey jo fida hoga, amar wo naujawan hoga\" by Mohammad Rafi from \"Phool Baney Angarey\" was a big hit in those days. And in the recent past, \"Sandeshe aatey hain, hamey tadpatey hain\" by Javed Akhtar from \"Border\" is tops. \"Us mulk ki sarhad ko koyee choo nahin sakta, jis mulk ki sarhad ki nigehbaan hai ankhein\" from film \"Aankhen\" by Ramanand Sagar was good too. Other songs like \"Taaqat watan ki ham se hai, himmat watan ki ham se hai\" in Prem Pujari, \"Watan ki raah mein watan ke naujawan shaheed ho\", from film \"Shaheed\" and \"Ham laayein hain toofan se kashti nikaal ke, Is desh ko rakhna mere bacchon sambhal ke\" from \"Jagriti\" were regularly played on Independance and Republic Days. Kavi Pradeep made \"Aao bacchon tumhe dikhaein jaanki hindustan ki, is mitti ka tilak karo tum, yeh dharti hai balidaan ki\" a great hit in his very distinct voice.

Ab Mukesh ki bari hai! \"Honton pey sacchai rahti, jahan dil mein safai rahti hai, ham us desh ke waasi hain, ham us desh ke waasi hain, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Bahti Hai\". Title song, written by Shailendra and composed by Shankar Jaikishan. I dunno, if this one can be listed as a patriotic song.

One more for the board... How did we miss this one?! - \"Yeh Desh hai veer jawanon ka, albelon ka mastaano ka, is desh ka yaro kya kahna\" from BR Chopra\'s \"Naya Daur\". Written by Sahir and composed by O.P. Nayyar. A fabulous song indeed and the Bhangra dance preceeding that song was absolutely a stunner. Needless to say, Mohammad Rafi did the playback with Balbir.

Kuch desh bhakti ke gaane

by Kulcha Hyderabadi » Mon Aug 11, 2003 11:53 am

Yep Arch, they all evoke a tremendous feeling but none better than \"Kar chaley ham fida jaan watan sathiyon\" - Cos the song comes right from the Soldier himself who's fighting for us! <br> Zinda rahney ke mausam bahut hai magar, jaan dene ki rut roz aati nahin, Husn aur Ishq dono ko ruswa karey, wo jawani jo khoon mein nahaati nahin - Aaj dharti bani hai dulhan saathiyo, Ab tumhare hawaley watan sathiyo! <br> Kheench do apney khoon se zameen par lakeer, is taraf aaney paye na Ravan koyee, Tod do haath agar haath uthney lagey, chooney paaye na Sita ka daman koyee - Ram hi tum, tum hi Laxman sathiyo! Ab tumhare hawaley watan sathiyo! <br> Saans tham thi gayee, nafs jamti gayee, phir bhi badthey khadam ko na rukney diya, kat gaye sar hamarey to kuch gham nahin, sar himalaya ke ham ne na jhuk ney diya - Martey martey bhi raha baankpan saathiyo... Ab Tumhare hawaley watan saathiyo. <br> Raah Qurbaniyon ki na veeran ho, tum sajatey hi rahna naye khaafiley, Fateh ka jashn is jashn ke baad hai, zindagi mout se mil rahey hai galey - Bandh lo apney sar se kafan saathiyo! - Ab tumhare hawaley watan sathiyo. <br>

Kuch desh bhakti ke gaane

by Srinu » Mon Aug 11, 2003 12:24 pm

The initial posts missed out songs from Manoj \"Bharat\" Kumar movies. Songs from \"Upkar\" - \"Mere desh ki dharthi\"... and from \"Purab aur Paschim\" - \"Hai Preet Jahan Ki Reet Sada\" and a lot more. I remember a compilation , an independence day special (2 cassettes) for 50 years independence celebrations. let\'s compile this list and cut a cd. :)
