Salman Khan... guilty/not guilty?

by Saira » Wed Oct 02, 2002 12:57 pm

Who do you think is to be blamed in Mr. Nur's death? Actor Salman Khan or Mr. Nur himself? This mishap would have been avoided if Mr. Nur were sleeping at a safe place and not on the footpath? If you still think that Salman Khan is responsible for this death, then what punishment would you recommend for him?

It is very unfortunate to sleep on a foot path, c\'mon dear that is the harsh Indian reality........OK , I am not able to follow this whole story, some news clips here n there, but, OK, one thing is for sure, Indians as a whole never follow rules, it is very well known not ot drive under influence, but ppl always do, assuming that something wiil nto happen with them.....Salman, would have probably agreed evrything had the mob behaved well with him, You know those class4 behavior rt.....they don\'t talk, the moment they see an accident they rush, n start beating up the passengers inside the vehicle....so what can a person do, he will run away from the site initially.......n with regards to punnishment...i think his driving liecense should be cancelled for 3 to 5 years....n inprisoned for 6-9 months,if found guilty, and the deceased should be truly compensated....what else can be done, think rationally.......

Dear lucifer, firstly I got surprised that you are supporting a drunken driver/killer. Mistake is always a mistake. Anyway, Salman Khan should be given 7 years imprisonment - then after his release - he immediately should marry any of his relatives - this is the only solution.

Why the hell this case has to be discussed so widely and so loudly. Is it something very strange and unusual that happenned in India ???? that many people are so much concerned. Everyone seems to be talking about Salman khan and blaming /commenting on his driving under influence. Do you know how many drivers on the road drive under influence and how many people are killed daily in road accidents ? C\'mon people be reasonable and sensious. If anyone is to be blamed in this kind of situations then itis the city adminsitration who failed to check drunken drivers, allowing people to sleep on the roads unsafely, improper road conditions, insufficient lighting, allowing bars to remain open till late night hours etc..etc.. there are so many dimensions to this problem. Nothing is going to change if you cry over Salman here. Its your precious time spend it well.

First I want to convey that his mental pressures may be because he is unmarried even at this age. So if he gets married all his pressures can come down. Secondly if he marries one of his relative girls she could control him tightly so that he will not roam around like a loafer.

Peeping Tom, what will happen to Ashwariya if Salman marry\'s a relative? She will start drinking and driving. Lucifier.. only 6-9 months of imprisonment for beeing a irresponsible driver who kills a person? A human life has only this much value? I agree once a person is dead no matter what he/she can not be bring back to life... BUT some punishment to Salman and good monetery compensation to the family of deceased should be given. Law and order should be same for rich and poor. Just coz he is rich he shouldn\'t be spared.

saira, where else will a homeless sleep??? which is more safer place than a pavement for a homeless , tell me???he was not sleeping on the middle of the road.see, this is not salman\'s first crime.his position , money , fame had made him a reckless and most cruel person who doesnt has the least respect for human being\'s life.He forgot that he is also first a human being and then a something else.He is a rougue. He shot down the endangered species last yr. He gives no value for living beings in his life. Why are stiil the police tolerating such a cannibal???I wud be the happiest if he is hanged to death. He shud be banned by everybody , the public , bollywood and the country itself. Then may be he will come down to the earth.

lucifier , u may be a fan of that killer , but then a 6-9mnths imprisonment for taking a human being\'s life reflects your favouritism for that actor and ur indifference towards the poor people. How generous man!!!! A car is not supposed to go onto a pavement, but homeless are sleeping on the footpaths from ages , not today.Looks like you do not have the least of the least concern for the homeless , u talk as if you hate even their presence on the pavements. What if you were there????wud u still support that salman???

Hey Anita, there is no capital punnishment in this country... C\'mon, think with a cool mind, what should be the punnishment awarded to him? Only those people who have obeyed all the traffic rules all the times should answer this.

n Anita, i told you before, Salman is not a killer, he made a accident... n w.r.t. what you call as killing of rare animal, c\'mon, every day, how many animals are killed by humans for the sake of flesh... don\'t you think the animals slaughtered for the sake of there flesh is a bigger crime? then why are you making a big deal over that rare animal which was shot last year?

Dear Ms. Saira, please understand that a car or any vehicle should not and cannot enter onto a platform... It is not the question of Salman Khan being guilty, it cost a poor man\'s life. Will Salman be able to bring back that life? What are you talking about nur sleeping safe inside? Who the heck would have dreamt that a car would run on to a platform. We all walk on platforms and if an APSRTC bus rams us, can you just blame the public saying they should have walked carefully on the platform?
If it had been a common man like me who was in Salman\'s place will there be any publicity like this or even this board discussion? We see so many accidents in the city every day - has any one been taken up in the board? You are all taking it up now because your matinee idol is involved. Come on, Saira, think in terms of human values and not for the shadow idols.

Anitha, well said. I take your side, it is not Salman or kill man, it is the expense of the poor man\'s life because of this beastly intoxication act. If it had been Saudi Arabia he would have been executed for this crime he did, but it is India and he is a popular idol who can throw money and can be very much at large as though nothing has happend... I doubt these guys have any guilty consciousness in them. He should be put behind bars for 15 years and a huge compensation should be given to the kin and kith of the victim... I would do that if I were the judge...

My friend Lucifier, that\'s not a problem - Salman can marry n number of times like he\'s changing his shirt... Salman is definitely guilty and should be punished a minimum of 15 years and should be debarred from the film industry so other thugs will not dare drunken driving any more...

when the govt is trying to save those endangered species , you have the mini concern for those spicies , you cannot compare the sheep and hens & pigs with black bucks, right???u cud not see how valuable they are. for u they are alike any other animal like the raodside goat and hen.thats a good perspective indeed. dont argue just for the sake of argument.if u have a real strong point put it down. just becoz u have to defend ur statement you cannot compare black bucks with goats and hens. Now you can all of them are animals , fine then here is no point in arguing with u any further.

a mans life is the most valuable on this earth. based on that i thought that he shud be hanged to death.tell me if there is anything more valuable than a human being\'s life.then i will think of a diff punishment. and please stop trying to defend such people and bring down ur image.

anitha, my point in the prv posting was, \"only those ppl respond who have obeyed all the traffic rules all the times\", seems You obey ALL the rules ALL the times,n hence have responded, n also you have probably the rt to defend your arguments.....but I did not obey ALL the rules, ALL the times,n because of this i might have made a lot of accidents......i was Just lucky not to be involved in any so far..... also ......i saw many others not obeying the rules, but when one of these ppl gets involved in a accident the others {who also do not obey the rules} shout , protest, bla..bla....thought for a moment u are one among them , since you are not in that category, i quit my argument with you.

She says a man\'s life is most valuable on earth, and then she talks about hanging a man to death!! Think before you talk lady! And can u justify how the life of a black buck is more valuable than that of a hen or a goat or a sheep or a pig?!! Don\'t argue for the sake of arguing!! I also don\'t agree that the incident that happened was a killing - it was an accident... and the person (SK)should be punished for committing an accident, and not for killing...

Anita, as every coin has two sides so does every story. In my initial message I did not take any side. All of my sympathies are with Mr. Nur\'s family BUT tell me how many people get killed on roads everyday in India. Just because Salman is a celebrity political parties are getting involved into this case. Tell me, do these parties get involved in each and every death caused due to an accident? The answer is a big \'NO\'. Then why all these so-called politicians and others making such a big noise over this? Or do you think that India should follow Saudi\'s law, which is \"an eye for an eye\"? If we do, then all these so called politicians will lose all their eyes and what not because nobody is clean. How many murders and rapes do they carry on their shoulders? They should trust the Indian law to take care of this case and mind their own business.
