TV serials

I would like to comment on the TV serials of India and would like to get some response.There are numerous TV serials coming on different channels.Some of them are good also.In the past year the one I liked most was ashirwaad .Then after that I got hooked on to Heena which was basically a muslim story ,but now they seem to drag it on forever and I don\'t have much interest in it anymore.Mehndi tere naam ki was also a very nice family story focusing on what kinds of problems the parents go through with each of there daughters.Being self employed and a house wife I got quite some time on my hands to watch these serials.The one thing I like in todays serials is they are trying to bring back and show the importance of joint family and living together in one big house.But the main thing I would like to say here is these days they are showing almost in every serial husband and wifes both having affairs openly,having illegimate children ,divorce,and chidren either running away or falling in love ,choosing there own mates against parents wishes.I have seen these kind of serials here in America a lot but I did\'nt expect this from Indian culture.Are Indians trying to westernise or am I wrong here? Are they trying to copy or follow the west? If so I suggest they do it in ways that would show the public some better things.Our young generation is really having there brains washed watching these serials.Would really like your opinion on this subject.

I dont want to comment abt the culture and all. But one thing, if the story is normal people will say its the same old Indian family story and if they have a different subject like the one u\'r describing they complain of culture.
I want to say one thing after going home from office I want to watch some good humorous serials but U can see all the junk serials comming till 11 in the night.
