Rock scene in this town sucks!

The rock scene in Hyderabad is down in the dumps. If u could support and like a band as shitty as \'distortion\' with no coordination at all, with no proper motivation (they r only playin cause its cool to be in a band, not for the music - or they would\'nt suck so bad), then u need to listen to some real bands playin, not a bunch of kid just makin noise. Hyderabad needs more of bands like sledge. <br>P. S.: Look out for a rock fest happenin in your town with bands from Bangalore and Bombay - anybody wanna know bout that?

Now,You r getting what u deserve,CACOPHONOUS-what do u know of music, Hey thats something u hear and enjoy from the depths of u\'r being.
Hey, Taz....to stay, looks like u\'r not meeting the right crowd here in Hyd, WE R GOING TO BE A HAPPENING CITY, guy.
WE have loads of talent. But I guess we dont have the crowd to pull in. What with most young Guys and Gals crooning o\'er
the boy Bands and the girl bands and think thats the height of music, and especially if they get turned on by Bangra
and I guess we have to wait for the right crowd to just come in or grow up or educate them.

hEY hEY!!!!!!!!dONT HAVE TO GET SO EXCITED!!!yOU REALLY GOT ME ON THE WRONG. I dint mean to be snobby. Im sorry too about the poor spelling!!!. And coming to the discussion did ya ever hear rock music. Did u ever hear Scorpions, Did u ever hear Pink floyd et.,Did u ever hear the soul of rock. I mean to say, theres something about rock, Its instinctive, Its not like a professional training u get to get up on the stage & perform (Unlike most of the other kind of music). Its like U have the instinctive guts, A soul thats in rhythm with the pure raw unadulterated side of nature. No love song can beat a ballad in ROCK(Ex. Still loving u by Scorpions). No anger or pain can be more expressed better than in rock (nirvana, Deep purple et.,).Im not talking about Sepultra,Black Sabbath et., Ive outgrown them. Its time guys to wake up to not tailored music (music made to sell (FOR MONEY). Look at what they r doing to those girls on V (DIVA/VIVA)-The australian bardot equivalent in India). Taking all that natural talent, and turning them into something unnatural. And look at all the people wowing it. Rock is straight from the heart. It only touches people
who r out there in the cold, who\'s seen it and who win it. Its hard, It cuts, Its tears and u need real guts to just listen to it, forget about appreciating it.
Hey nothing personal, Its my way of perceiving it

NAOMI, do you really mean what you said in your statement of \'i have outgrown Black Sabbath\'? Mr., you can never outgrow a God... Millions of ppl tried to imitate him but have failed miserably and accepted at the end, he (OZZY) is the GOD...

n finally , when you talk about Black Sabbath and sepultura, you just cannnot about Pink Floyd n Scorpions...

I think u understand what you talk about... all da best...

Hi, Sorry Guys, been busy, Or Id have really answered Mr. Lucifer and the other Guy, And By the way Im not Mr, Im a girl, why Mr. Luci...cant u take it girls like rock too. And Tabz...you answered for me (Just what I wanna say- I spoke of ROCK IN GENERAL not classifying it into heavy, black or grunge et.,) . I dont mean to say I dont like Black Sabbath etc., any more. I like \'em too, but after a hard days work on my feet, Id really love to listen my Fav\'s, thats why Ive just yapped on about my fav bands. And Mr. Luci, Please Its a heartfelt cry to not call Music r musicians GOD, u r in for BIG\"est\" trouble MAn.
Music is beautiful, Its just like any other beautiful creation. Its to be adored and given its right due but never given a higher priority than its origin. We have learnt to sing to make music from creation. The wind, the sea, the sky. If so they too have to be worshipped. I feel MUSIC is like a huge spectrum AT ONE END u have the softer tones of music that pampers u, caters to u\'r whims and fancies, that makes u love u (ex. Blues, country, reggae, etc., our very own Hindustani, carnatic classical etc.,). ON THE OTHER END, U have music that wants to move u off u\'r chair, to just stand letting it wash all over u.its an obsession for an aching soul, its like an open wound aching and wanting to be identified. And thats ROCK MUSIC.

Naomi, ya , just as you said, one kind of music relaxes u in a chair, and the other music that lets you off the chair is rock music.......hmmmmmmmmm,well,the poeple who understood the metal, and the rock, never got up from there chairs, rather prefered a small head bang....along with the music...the rock was never a open wound aching, but a relief, and a pain reliever......as i always say it depends on how well we control ourselves rather let others control us....so if some one says rock is aching, they are among the millions, and the few others who see the other part of rock are \"one in a million\", depends which side you prefer...cheers!!!

I listen to scorpions, Guns n roses, Metallica, Bonjovi. But Though I have a few of their albums, I prefer assorted songs which I record for myself, I guess its piracy, But some how even if its my fave band, I prefer only afew of their numbers in each album, so having an assorted tape is always helping to pass the rigmorale of having to listen to every single number before u get to the one u want. I love to listen to Whitney Houton, her rich souful voice is amazing., My other favs r Elvis, Neil Diamond (The story of my life) and Roberta flack (Hope u\'r not putting u\'r other leg in the grave too.-I just know how u hard rockers find these guys). Hey, Luci if ur gonna read this do give me some information on some recent
good numbers, actually Ive been out of touch. Can mail to soaringbird@sify.com

dear naomi,
sad but true to realize that \"ROCK IS DEAD\". even i\'m a staunch lover of rock, but sadly these days people are more tuned into pop and stuff like that that\'s low on substance and high on hype...none of the pop avtaars of today-britney, shakira, backstreet boys, j-lo, et al, can measure up to the level of pink floyd or aerosmith or scorpions or gnr...but lemme tell u something...over 8 years into rock music has taught me a very valuable lesson which i\'d like to pass on...rock is divine as long as it\'s u who\'s in command...the day it takes control over ur mind and body, ur ruined...my very best friend was driven to drugs and alcohol solely bcoz he found them to be a needed accesory for obtaining still greater pleasure while listening to rock. keep posting.

Hey Naomi, I used to be a BIG fan of Meatloaf myself! So much that I subscribed to a Meatloaf fan club mailing list - and was deluged with mail! They had several thousand members on that list, and they were always talking about dates and tickets to his concerts (he was on a Europe tour around then - 1999). I got out of that list in about a week due to the sheer volume of the communication. I read an interview with Meatloaf then (his real name is Marvin Lee Aday), and he said that he\'d come out with Bat Out Of Hell - III in 2003. The last album was \"Welcome To The Neighbourhood\" (if you exclude The Very Best Of Meatloaf which had no new scores). I suppose you could go to the Net and sign up on one of the fan sites - you\'ll know all you ever want to know about the guy...

Yeah! I know exactly what u mean, I know how a beautiful talented life can be turned into an volcano of pain and aimlessness and meaningless. My bestfriend too is thru this. Exactly what u said, anything even something as pleasurable as music can turn into a weapon that can destroy a life and everything that touches it. I really hope all the guys/ girls who love rock, really know to draw this line. And its time people realize thats its possible to bring out music or love rock whilst having a cleanlife (a life without drugs/Alchohol). Let the spirit enjoy without destroying the physical, without which its never complete.
