Watched Lucky. It was very yucky :x OK Salman didn't kill his role as he did in Bhagban but it wasn't exactly a demanding role in the fist place. And that new girl is so sickly sweet. More sickly than sweet. Were they trying to recreate Dr. Zivago with that train scene?

the sad thing is the movie started off so well and crashed midway due to some extremely gaping holes in the direction:

1) how did Mithun end up in the "art gallery"...?

2) what the eff was the ending all abt....how the eff did Mithun find sallu's car and drove over to where sallu n the girl were walking....in his previous scene, mithun was seen fighting a russian in the middle of nowhere. looked like they didnt know how to end and they cooked up something in a hurry coz time was up.

3) in the beginning, sneha's school was shown as being in the city and sallu was suppossed to come into the city, instead he picks up sneha IN the city and takes her OUT of it to the highway...:? hello, isnt he suppossed to be trying to reach her safely to school...?

4) the 2 midgets salman and sneha successfully pretend to be Russian soldiers...all of whom are atleast 6 feet in height and built like tanks.

2 minor cribs:

1) how the eff did she get out of the tiny train window, that too a moving train...?

2) in one scene she refuses meat saying she is veggie...in a scene that occurs before the above scene, she happily goes off to collect firewood when sally proposes frying the fish he caught for lunch....

...there are more holes i dont care to mention now....

i found the film quite entertaining the first time (thanX to sallu) but such stupid brainless direction really puts me off....

the directors cud have done a lot with Mithun's role...it was too short and senseless at times (like i mentioned in previous post about Lucky).

Saw Mumbai Xpress..Pretty good. Atleast a lot different from the mundane run-of the-mill films that we have these days with the hero-bashing-a-100-villains,and the herione (who hardly wears nething) with a constant "Am-I not-choo-chweet/sexy/hot/cute??" expression.

The movie tends to get a bit boring during the 2nd half..But on the whole a good one..
I THINK...THEREFORE I AM.

Hey, anyone planning to see any of the hindi movies this weekend?

Any wild guesses as to which one would be worth seeing?

Quoting Yourself!!! What for?

I Seriously think How on earth will People be able to Tolerate both Tusshar kapoor and Reteish (sic!!) Deshmukh in the same movie.True,Both Isha 'Hot' Koppikar and Neha 'Hotter' Dhupia are there, but the Movie'll be too gross i suppose.

This is what Taran Adarsh had to say about Kaal:
Taran Adarsh wrote:On the whole, a thriller like KAAL signifies the changing face of Hindi cinema and that's a step in the right direction. At the box-office, KAAL is already off to an excellent start thanks to the terrific advance booking. For its investors, the recovery from the first three days itself will be phenomenal, with multiplexes screening the film in approx. 10 shows every day and 30 shows in the first weekend itself, thanks to its short length [12 reels; 2 hours' duration]. The first week billing itself will be fabulous and by far the best this year. A sure-shot success all the way!

Rating:- * * * *.

ghazala Rizvi on WAQT: wrote:Here is our version of a movie that has many elements similar to others, but with none of the vitality, none of the excitement, and, mainly, none of the sex. Waqt outruns its time; it's the product you get when you try to catch too short a story in too long a time.

Waqt has successfully sidestepped the urge of big-tear films, which buss every clichéd character from every previous movie together. Director Vipul Shah has balanced out the brevity of characters with an abundance of accidental songs. But that should be overlooked as an occupational hazard of a movie-watcher.

at the end of the day its the collections that matter...and looking at that Kaal is a small hit...its difficult to get tickets even now, inspite of various junta cursing their fate..Zeher was also savaged by critics as well as many views, but is doing very well and is a hit too.

btw, taran adarsh also heaped praise on baghban and K3G....what abt the junta like me who saw em and went home with a headache? :)

those movies were made for the front benchers...and its the markting that sees most of todays movies thru rather than the story and acting...
