Fredrick Forsyth's The Fourth Protocol was also excellent

.....;) i know i know...u read the entire story or just the "interesting" parts of his books??? ;)

This is the sad part. People who have not read Robbins' earlier books always associate him with crap writing. His later books suck, agreed. But the ones he wrote in the earlier part of his writing career rock. CAD, did you know that he was the most widely read author in the world? If crap writing was all it took to get there, I think a lot more could have gotten there. Even today, he sells about 80,000 copies a day. I suggest you read books like The Dream Merchants, The Carpetbaggers, Never Leave Me, and The Adventurers before you pass a judgement on the man.

I suggest you take some time off and read the book. Trust me, characters like Jonas Cord, Rina Marlow and Nevada Smith are going to remain etched in your mind forever.

Ive seen the movie, Mark. Its pretty good, but Im sure not as good as the book. So I suggest you never watch the movie.

Every book-based movie Ive seen was an utter disappointment. Except for The Exorcist.

Share just the popcorn? Alex, I don't think either of us would be watching much of the movie anyway!

Youve got a point there, Lucy. The popcorn would just be a diversion anyway. Lets leave that at the concession stand and go inside the theater and find seats in a nice private corner----I dont like to be disturbed when Im busy.
