She was spotted yes'day at Central I heard.....

The bad news First! India Lost the First one-day against South Africa.

South Africa 252 for 5 (Kallis 68*) beat India 249 for 9 (Yuvraj 103) by 5 wickets.

While it was commendable for the Indians to put up the kinda total that they did-after being 35-for-5-;South Africa were the better team on the day and won the match Quite easily!

Across the border, England were made to taste defeat after their heady Ashes success!

Pakistan 274 and 341 beat England 418 and 175 (Kaneria 4-62) by 22 runs

Exactly the stuff I get pissed off about. The team won a series against Lanka hands down. They put up a valiant fight in the match against SA, which was the better team on the day and the indian fans can't digest a loss. Why? 38/5 to 249 is not a mean task against a bowling attack that was sharp to say the least.

This is the kind of pressure I was talking about Ganguly being under. I dare any of the critics of the team to perform anything when they are subject to such a treatment.

Can I know what was slack, sagging or haula about the Indian team yesterday? If you talk about the top order collapse, yes..it was unfortunate. But it doesn't deserve the kind of words used to describe it by you all. The same top order was nothing less than emphatic in their victory against Lanka, wasn't it? If you "fans" are so intent on seeing India win everytime it plays, better rig a computer game and see that. Winning in every match is something that'll never happen for any team.

To recover frm 38/5 to 250 was a gr8 thing. I am sure India will do better in the series now.

not good

by Sachin » Thu Nov 17, 2005 8:45 pm

Hey Guys be fair u cant expect any team to win all the time....

It was a commendable effort by India to make a match of it after being 36/5. What if Graeme Smith was given out ( he was plumb) of the 4th ball of the SA innings it would have been a different story. India did there best just that they couldnt pull it through. U cant Rant abt any damn thing on earth.

For HP sir, well whn the same sehwag or sachin play attacking strokes they always chase the ball mate.... never seen sehwag playing close to his body for longer periods.... he has struck a bad patch but still he scored a few 30's against SL. Sachin was not out wat if the decision went India's way???? Dravid well he was lazy but hasnt he been one of the most prolific scorers in both forms of the game in the past couple of years? he is human jus that it had to happen in this game.... Gambhir that was a poor shot but he was looking to attack it was the same gambhir who scored a ton against SL, he had the same intent jus that it dint come through. Kaif again was done in by some good bowling he too was lazy but he was new to the crease so guys calm down if u analyze the way the Indian top order got out it was normal they dint play any rash shots....

and for god sake dont go after u r team for losing a single match grow up get a life

A resurgent Indian side made most use of a slow, turning pitch at Bangalore and levelled the five-match series at 1-1 with a hard-fought six-wicket win. South Africa, who were thwarted in their bid to stay undefeated in a record 21 successive games, refused to surrender without a scrap but their spirited effort on the field wasn't enough to defend a modest target.

India 171 for 4 (Sehwag 77*) beat South Africa 169 for 9 by 6 wickets
