everyone is entitled to his/her opinions, as long as they do not really cause hurt to the sentiments of the people.And when we can have slurs being thrown about left right & centre on the name of religion & caste (Jus' a fleeting example), I don't see why we can't denigrate a 'pastime sport' such as cricket.

You like it, enjoy it.I hate it (Actually I don't but I preferred following SA & AUS matches to Ind-SL matches), I'll criticize it. As cad says, if somebody does'nt like somebody's opinions, jus' don' read'em!Simple.

Well not really, I am one of those guys who believe in respecting others views. But then it should be a proper claim, and ofcourse some one should be ready to explain his view in why he thinks Cricket sucks. As I said it was an ireesponsible statement from him.

If "cricket sucks" is ok, then what is wrong in saying he sucks?

Why do you 'Generalize'it? You remind me of that man who gets conned into parting with his Goat jus' because Three people tell him that it is a Donkey!

Whatever a person says on the boards ins his/her opinion. You can debate and try pointing it out whether that indeed is the case or not.

And if there is any factual misrepresentation, come out with valid points and counter it (if you really want it settled out i.e)

And when I say Cricket Sucks it is My opinion and I am the sole copyright owner of My opinions and they aren't at anyone else's beck & command! ANd if you wnat an explanation for that, ask me in what way would you require it, coz I have a few ways in which I think it sucks! :roll:

Yup, let us leave it. I don't want to argue too.

But CAD, no one can decide how much a person can react

. Seriously, tht is why we are humans and not machines. And ofcourse there is no such thing like boundary beyond which you should react, otherwise ignore. Even if it is there it differs from person to person.

Some people react if something is said against Jesus/Allah/Hindu gods, some when said against cricket, and ofcourse you and ycr reacted when sachin called some one tht he sucks . Probably we are all on same boat, but react to different issues at different levels :wink:

Yeah Again! As i said before, if one feels that the argument placed above can be condoned in a plausible and sane way, no harm in doing it!

As you said, Cricket is something that most Indians look upon as a religion-sorta-thing and hold it very dear, and yet again there are people (like Me :wink:

) who do not think much into it,both 'think' that they are vindicated in their own way and I can say with surety that none will budge an inch when a debate comes upon

After all, is'nt that human nature!

And moving on to more things, read in the newspaper that South Africans have arrived in town. And even if i am not that big a cricket enthu, SA is one team that i watch playing...and they sound a bit Over Confident (They would be, coming on the back of a 19-match-winning streak)

But the indians too are in a rampant mood after the 6-1 mauling.....

It should be an interesting series......
