No MBA's here xcept u i think.....
yeh...but even i wish i had not done it so early...
akhil bhai, MBA from where ?
Ek aur thing, I saw that ISB Avg sal is 9,05,000 (2004 Domestic) and Avg pre MBA Work ex is 5 yrs. Is it a big deal to shell out 14L and get a MBA from ISB to hike your sal by a lakh or two. Avg Incoming sal at ISB for 2004 was 5,43,245. If the guy had not done MBA and continued working he would have got 6,24,730 (assuming 15% hike) plus the 1 year sal of 6,24,730. Kya bolte ? Is is a good investment, thinking only in terms of sal. What other benefits do you think come packaged with MBA from ISB. I am seriously thinking if I should go for it.
Hi Red Combat, Akhil and all the others wanting to do an MBA!
I did mine with work, EMBA....I've been working for 2 1/2 years now....got in after my Grad, thru Campus Recruitments.....
Is an MBA from ISB really worth it ? U end up repaying a freaking amount as ur loan instalment even if u get picked up by the biggies. Agreed the Campus is all state of the art and all but somehow I'm not convinced.....
I'm not saying a distance learning MBA is the best but honestly, it all boils down to your efficiency at the work place, with or without the degree.....having said that I must add, that a qualification on paper makes a helluva difference....
The IIMs are the ideal springboard to get into the best of the Corporate World but after that you are on your own....quite a few of my friends dropped a year and took the CAT again....its a risk but if u r absolutely serious, then its worth it.....obviously, it goes without saying that u must apply to the A and B+ category of B Schools too, just in case.....
