if u read my post again u'll see that i started that line with I dont think... which means thats what I feel about movies.Jaszalcatraz wrote:Why is watching movies for no reason wrong? Remembering dialogues, scenes and shots is wrong? Is that you speaking or is it the Indian belief that movies are bad and they spoil you.
When people spend hours and hours reading poetry and studying art and come back to detail a shade of blue in a painting or qoute a line from a forgotten poem, we look at them with reverance. When musicians name two raags and talk about the subtle differences between them, the auditorium is filled with thunderous applause. And yet, movies are bad.
i love movies and i see them for entertainment and thrill of watching it on big screen with great sound. period. i rememebr only the story and certain scenes/dialogs that i find memorable. i have better things to load my mind with (...i mean things I feel are better..
if u feel like remembering every insignificant bits of dialog and gestures, suit yrself.
fyi, i have no taste for poetry, painitings, classical music etc.
i listen to music and read novels for the same reason as i watch movies.
