Well Hello again everybody:
In case you were wondering, the meeting on Aug 5th, again registered poor attendance. Dr. Srinivas did turn up, but, unfortunately I had left a little early that day (finally disheartened). I'm thinking maybe it was the rains, and not waning of interest- (to keep my spirits up

).
So my question is :
what am I missing here? How can I get you guys to at least show up? Don't worry, I don't give up that easily! Right now I'm just taking solace in the fact that this thread has the highest no. of views compared to most other topics!
What am I doing?
Recently my husband and I visited a small community in Musheerabad with an extremely noble and patriotic young man named Irfan. His commitment to social work and his smile has convinced me we can not give up. The small community lives in absolute squalor with terrible housing conditions, no waste collection or other public services that the MCH is supposed to provide, yet beautiful people who don't know that they have a right to demand a better standard of life. My husband and I hope to start a community store there that would provide low cost lifestyle items to the people there. The store will purely run on individual and corporate donations of clothes, furnitures, accessories, small appliances etc, which can be bought at very nominal prices. The goal is to provide an opportunity for people to buy things that they would otherwise be unable to afford, and for those people who have too much pride to ask for 'freebies' from people. Wish us all the best in this project! I hope to be in touch with the people there again so that the awareness of health care related to environmental conditions can be raised.
