 u dont know? good ol' sangeet'll be demolished to make way for a 5 or 6 screen multiplex cum entertainment center a la Prasads, but gotta wait abt 2yrs for it to open.

by The Crackednut » Mon May 03, 2004 11:26 pm

What's all this nonsense??

yeh Prasad's kya cheez?

yeh Sangeet kaunsi chidiya hain?

Are you all Hyderbadi or not? Are you all not interested in enjoying to the max with a pocketfull of only chillar-change?

Where is that whole multitude that throng the gates of Good Ol' Skyline every friday?

Come on all my Jolly Faithfuls for a brilliant time at Hyd's greatest cinema-ghar "SKYLINE".

Come one...Come all

Come..Come...Come !

La..Laalalala...Dididi..Laaaaa

..and screw Prasad's on the way home!:p

I was really looking forward to Hyd. when I was shifting here as I was told that you have a wonderful movie culture here. But then, after having been fed on the multiplexes of gujjuland, I hate going anywhere but Prasads for a movie. There are a couple of good theatres in Kachiguda...but that's too far and the traffic is a killjoy. Was happy to see that Sangeet is also being converted into a multiplex.

Skyline and Sterling.....have seen so many movies there....had no other option before Prasads...and they both have their own plusses and minuses. Sterling may have seats similar to a gaon ka video theatre, but it does have an excellent sound system. Skyline runs its sound on a radio though.

Anyways, I pray to the almighty that hyderabad gets some better theatres in order to challenge Mumbai as the hotbed of cinema. Hope he listens to me soon.

 what? since when? actually i haven't been to skyline since a year and at that time it had an excellent sound system...my only beef was with the dim projection.

he is listening to u and is in the process of weighing yr appeal...! there are quite a few multiplexes coming up at banjara hills, ameerpet, S.P.Road and think nr indira park too, apart from sangeet...

...and guys, santosh/sapna seem to have closed...are they renovating, "multiplexing" or is it final curtains?

Hyd has the best cinema halls in the country......

where else does a balcony ticket cost around rs 35-50?

our cinema halls are hundred times better than the ones in pune and a few more in mumbai...

ever been to shiva ganga at dilsukhnagar?

balcony cost around 15 rs...and the hall is terriffic.

this was true till the last decade dude. now the latest cineplexes n multiplexes of mumbai, delhi and even places like ahmedabad n jaipur can give our grand "70mm"s a complex.

the problem here is that our halls were built for accomodating huge crowds which is now not always possible, while the other cities'd wisened up and started shifting to smaller but plusher halls abt 3-5 yrs ago.

yes, v do have some good single screen halls but many of them dont do good business anymore. quite a few in city center have shut shop.

even maintenence has come down: see maheshwari now n compare with last decade..

Yep! We saw it. So did PSD and Stingrae (or so I hear)

My first feeling about the movie came abt 30 mins in when I was feeling a bit bored. I looked around and saw people being overwhelmed with emotion. I felt like an insensitive idiot and peered carefully at the screen trying to find if I was missing the point.

For a moment I thought I heard Azazel snoring.

Then as JC's torture and crucification started, I wasnt bored anymore because the blood and gore kept me awake.

From the view-point of a Movie Buff, it sucked.

But people looking to watch a story unfold in front of them will find this good. After you've seen this, I suggest you watch another movie called "The Last Temptation of Christ"
