The other day, my friend was telling me how true Black Metal bands talk about war, death and other medevial influences. I've heard only one such band - Falconer. Can people tell me of more such bands?

as far as my limited knowledge abt the BM genre goes, it started off basically as an ode to the ancient paganism of the lands.. going back to those beliefs and condemning organised religion.. newer bands drifted into satanism which is actually a paradox.. Falconer is power metal dude.. btw, howdya like it??

I like the voice of the lead singer. Also the lyrics which "promise rewards of silver and gold and pounds" are nice. the narrative medieval style is what original attracted me to the band, but the intro of Entering Eternity is what kept me interested.

Matthias Blad is the vocalist's name.. majestic pipes man, dramatic effect n all.. he's left the band tho but the new guy's s'posed to be just as good.. the lyrics are of the song "Quest For the Crown" ..its a more folk-oriented

power metal sound that the guys have.. i louuuve it
