Heavy Metal: The DARK Music

Hey Veren, Common, It\'s Ok not to be interested in music but selling Heavy metal low is not appealing. It is different music trend diverted to cater the needs of specific sections of the society in perticular the frustrated and cult like people. You live once n for freaking short time so got to get the message not all of are like minded with common perspectiveds towards life. Ozze is too old and Creed is too soft. You ain\'t belong here.

hmm, I don\'t know the kind of music I listen to is dark but I am definitely sure it is heavy metal. It is very wrong to make heavy metal synonymous to dark music. To be very sure I did some research and found out that there are other kinds of music which can be put under heavy metal. For instance general metal, glam metal, death metal and .... To me heavy metal is some kind of hard rock which I think is a style of rock n\' roll characterized by amplified sound and other electronic modulations. And this is what it makes heavy metal and we guys dies for it. If few rock groups have used this music to symbolise death then we have the right to call them death metal but it is just one of the taxonomy of heavy metal, not heavy metal in itself. Hence darkness and death is not the ideology behind heavy metal.

There\'s this pub in Nampally called ONe flight down that plays hard rock and even metal. On the weekends it also shows videos of live concerts by Megadeath, Ozzy, Metallica and all. At least it used to play about a couple of months ago. I haven\'t been there for a while now. \"_ U i won\'t do what u tell me\"- RATM>

Sorry to disagree. the BEST album of Slayer is DIVINE INTERVENTION. Ayday, Anytime and ya it does have a great drummer though i think Igor Cavalera (from Sepultura) is amazing and ruthless.

Did you notice: people who sing metal have lots of hair and love bouncing it around, but people who listen to it lose their hair quickly! ;-)

i dont understand what character u r talking about.....does screaming out morbid stuff and stomping around the stage qualify as character???
and as for the lyrics the less said the better.....agreed there is no sense in those happy mushy lovey dovey stuff....but what sense is there in the morbid and fatalistic nonsense that these groups pass off as music.....
i would anyday prefer ian anderson and jerry garcia over these lunatics:-)
and yeah.....those boybands are WIMPY:-)

man cynic i think that you are splashing the riffd every where...nobody and i mean nobody plays heavier than NILE...slipknot is pussy music and the same goes for disturbed. Korn is cool and limpbizkit is the shitiest band ever to grace the metal scene. even Mudvayne is better that slipknot. What\'s so cool about nine guys pissing on stage and killing each other. Metallica was a good band, not anymore and pantera is anyday better than metallica. and for cool lines...
don\'t get to close to me or i\'ll pull you inside this hell i call my head - Mudvayne
