England pulled off a dramatic victory at Edgbaston, winning by the slenderest of margins - two runs - to level the series in the most astonishing manner. After a battling 42 from Shane Warne, Michael Kasprowicz and Brett Lee took Australia close, and when Simon Jones dropped Kasprowicz with 15 runs to go, an improbable win for the visitors suddenly seemed probable. But the other Jones, Geraint, clung on to catch Kasprowicz off Steve Harmison and England had the match in the bag.

What an Astonishing Match!!!!! Aussies Must be Devastated

England Must be Besides themselves with Glee

But the True Winner was Cricket (sic!)

Any1 watching the Ind vs WI match?

The last 9 overs of the Indian innings were amazing!

89 runs in the last ten overs!
Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

The second ashes test has been THE test of my lifetime specially in the context of the series. I wanted England to win once they took the big first innings lead. This is not becoz i support Eng or something but I wanted Aussies to fight and win the series and wanted to see how they react to the pressure of this kind ...But hats off to Warne Lee and Kasper...They played out of their skin and made cricket the winner. At the same time Ausssies seam attack is looking pedestrian without McGrath. Seems like he will not play the third test also. Soon Aussies will b going into the period when Mg Grath n Warne will not b arouind and if this test is anything to go by they will become more vulnerable....Wat to say abt Freddie Flintoff...man his power hitting is awesome as does his bowling. He was bowling consistently above 90 mph a notch below Lee...If Aussies want one player in their side at the moment it wud be freddie...

Coming to India WI match I think umpire Harper made the match look close than it actually was... But still India is going to struggle without a good 5th bowler...like in the case of this match Nehra got clobbered but thankfully sehwag got a decent spelll...I wonder y JP Yadav isnt being given a go...Dravid has made some statements like "there are no all rounders in India". But the selectors say that they hav picked Yadav coz of his allround performances which is totally ridiculous...The fact is India has players who hav done reasonably well with both ball n bat but we never cared to give them an extended run...They wanted instant results...I am not saying that they are high quality allrounders but still u need to test them out and persist with them...The list includes Romesh Powar, Joginder Sharma, JP Yadav all of them played below 5 matches.

Then there are older ppl like Bahutule and Bangar. None of these players got an extended run. Got to see wat the thinking for the final wud be...

The australia england match was an unforgetable one!

the way the aussies came back form the brink was just gr8. I was dissappointed when they lost coz they ahd worked so hardand deserved to win.

Even in defeat the aussies have shown what a gr8 team they are. any other team wld. have given it up but the aussies are a different class. It was a true example of the old adage 'its not over till the fat lady sings'!!

The englishmen will b a happy lot tho.

At the end of the match the looks on the faces of many of the players were of relief rather than joy...
