Adonis, there was already a tv series called MAHABHARAT. It was hugely popular, with Hindus and Muslims alike. It lasted what seemed like forever.

I doubt mainstream film-makers would like to venture into religion based scripts because they'd fear lack of mass appeal. And making a movie like that would require a big budget, what with costumes and sets. Its a good idea, but its already been done on tv.



I dont know, thats my take on it.

actually its good idea to have a slickly made movie on mahabharata...on the lines of historical epics like Gladiator or 10 Commandments.....without all the cheesy "special" effects we've been seeing on TV n the old movie versions.

last i heard somebody was planning Ramayan movie with Salman Khan playing Ram. i thot Ram was supposed to be quite a tall guy i've seen salman...good lookign alrite but way too gidda...

Talking about remaking movies.... I am currently in the process of trying to remake an old telugu novel/movie i don't know if anybody knows this but it's called "Chanikyudu" nagaswara rao starred in that movie.. it got twists and turns like hell it got plot than gladiator... I am trying to take that plot and make in hollywoodish to give it the style of gladiator... I have already started write the script but ihaven't gooten that far because i am not able to read the novel... it'ss too much telugu for me i cna't read that well hehe.. so trying to find out if there is a english version for that or else i have to ask people what they know abt it when i come to indiaaaaaa!!!!!!! yep this is one of my dream to make this movieee in hollywood hopefully it will happen i really love the plotttttt soooo yah!!!

yes i remember that series i was a kid when they were screening that ...there used to be no kids on the streets on sunday !!!



it was so long ago...which is why i think its good to bring it back on the screen...but this shuld b shorter , consisting of three parts and focusing on the main events ....

when it comes to budget i am sure bollywood can afford it ...may be not the case for tollywood (tollywood ..why cant they come up with creative names?) atleast they dont have to go outside india for shoots !!!

well no it ain't no porno... but yahh i thin it's called "Chanikaya Sapadam" or something.... it's Black and white movieee... i don't remeber the title b/c it was wriiten telugu... but the movie was greatttttttttttttt!!!
