Mandrake and Red Hat are freeware. SuSE is not, which is strange because the very idea behind Linux is to give software for free. Anyways, to answer your question, you can make as many copies of Mandrake as you desire without any legal hassles.
And, CAD, which shops?

Click Apps, then click Linux... Scroll through the list till you find the Mandrake torrents.
Download the torrents, then open it with a bit torrent program and download the actual ISOs.

i am planning to have a Linux partition in my PC mainly for browsing www.
does Linux need an antivirus and if so, can u recommend a good one...
i am having the latest licenced McAfee for my windows2000 and i want to know if i can install the same for Linux...
do multimedia software (flash, director, dreamweaver, photoshop etc) that i have installed on windows work on Linux or i need seperate versions...?

Before you do that make sure to check if the system you want to load linux on, has hardware that has linux drivers for them. Else you might find that you were able to load your OS but the H/W on your system doesnot have drivers for linux.CtrlAltDel wrote:thanX for the info..... will get back to u for any suggestions as soon as i install it...
