GODDAMMIT!!!!!!!

England were almost there. Twas a miracle called Zizou that won the French their match. And didya see Barthez mess up? (not the free kick, the half-hearted goal kick which hit his nose). That was hilarious.

I dont think any of the favourites will win Euro 04. It might be an outside team that'll surprise us all by just making it into the finals and them trouncing home to victory in the finals. (a bit like Croatia in 98, only better)

Thus speaketh Jasz.

If the above doesnt happen, Italy or England will win.

To end I would like to thank the Lord above for putting Brazil in South America. I'm sick of those guys and their names.

Either France or Italy shall win. No way England can. Spain has bleak chances, so does Germany.

I've always been a diehard Azzuri fan and my loyalties would never change. World Cup or European Championships. They're in with a strong chance. Other notable teams with a chance would be..England & Spain.

Somehow I never liked France after their Euro 2000 show. That was gamesmanship and poor sportive spirit at its depth. I had great regard for all their players individually (Arsenal is my fave EPL team & Pires & Henry kick ass. And Zizou is the closest they come to greatness - I would still not rate him among the world's best ever.); but somehow I don't think I can ever like seeing them win again.

Denmark can spring up a surprise or two. Too bad they're grouped with the Azzuri. And so could the swedes.

Haven't seen any of them in action. Although going records, stories, reruns and legends (and their present actions) I think Pele is the greater one.

When it came to wizardry with the ball, given all of Pele's greatness, nobody compares to Maradona.

But I feel Pele to be a more complete player and a better motivator. A better team player, I'd say. And soccer being a team sport, I'll give this one to Pele.

And talking of greats, I don't consider either Pele or Maradona to be greats. For me, the word great itself attaches a lot of social responsibility to a celebrity. The celebrity would be looked upon to by generations to come and thus, they should strive to be role models in the true sense. Not a drug addicted excuse for a life like Maradona (Excuse my language but I don't think he really deserves all the emotions pouring out for him all over the world.); or a political Machiavelli like Pele (A lot could be attributed to him for the way Brazilian soccer has become a far cry from what it was till the 86 cup).

And to whoever dissed Beckham on his game, he's one of the best players on view today. No way is he overrated. He's just being a victim of the green evil, ENVY. He has a beautiful wife, truckloads of money, the best sponsorship deals, a highly distinguished career, popularity and above all, a great game. And unfortunately for him, he's the mild kinds who would just take it all. Give him a break ppl.

Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.
