I posted a similar board calling all Eminem fans about an year ago..that was before 8 mile or Eminem show came..now that we have more data to discuss lets get started. I don\'t think 8 mile will hit hyd screens ever..i saw the movie and it was good. The rap battles were the highlight. I guess singfor the moment is the best done by him. What say you?

We have totally banned him in our circle of friends, we just switch it off. absolutley no products r bought that r advertised by him. What he portrays in his songs is the way he had to confront various hurdles in order to come up. You know - to the fact that he is WHITE and only BLACKS rap. That\'s what he is singing about. Coming to his mom, maybe she did all that he is singing about and his lyrics are the only way for vengeance. (As you are aware of how things work in the US - you know, divorces, breakups, stuff like that). Like they say \"All are equal in the eyes of the law.\" So what if she is his mom? What matters is if she has done something wrong. Get it?!! Get a note on one of his songs: \"Sing for the moment\". There\'s one line - \"If my music is literal and I am a criminal? The best part about his music is the lyrics. There is no trade-off on anything. The way his lyrics are penned are rough and raw combined with some mind-blowing rhythm and recording. Hitting moms and dads is something which several hip-hop, gangsta rappers have been doing since decades. But they were so very textbook hip-hop that it did not appeal to you or for that matter many others. Eminem just redifined the contemporary rap in a fresh way. So much so that even boy band fans purchased eminem.Its not just \'sing for the moment\' try \" forget about dre\",\' Stan\', \' Cleanin out the closet\', \' Guilty conscious\'. The lyrics are intelligent and fun. Thats why he is famous.
