Can anyone tell me how one can procure a World Space Subscription and availability of channels(how much would it cost) ?

Also is it worth it?

I dunno whether there is a seperate subscription.....but I got a BPL boombox one 3 yrs ago and it was ok,nothing great about it and its main problem was that its antenna had to be in a particular position to receive the signal. And most of the channels were blocked to India(dont ask why)... :? .

Whether its worth it or not,its for you to decide.I found it pretty usefull at that time coz there were so many songs which i recorded which wernt available in India at that time(8 Mile,Die Another Day,etc) but after a month I started downloading stuff so I never used it since. :D

the antenna placement is the main head ache. u get many stations covering lots of music genres (classical, film songs, pop, rock, hiphop...u name it) and also news n current affairs.

when buying a set, some engineer from the dealer wud set up your antenna. it shud not be disturned or moved.

other than this i dont think there are subscription fees for most of the channels (dunno abt any pay channels)
wtf? i no longer care if my posts hurt yr feelings

Yeah there are some pay channels.Dunno which one they are but you need to enter a code in it.I remember when it first hit the market people where like getting really excited because of the cool presentations(You know the cool thin panel controls and their showroom at that "The Great Mall of Hyderabad" )given by the sales people but actually it was a big head ache.
