My name is Michael David (I post under the pen name Tiger) and I am currently working in Taipei, Taiwan. I am a technical writer by profession. I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and an MCA for my Master's. I have over 7 years experience in Technical Writing and have worked for companies in India, Singapore and now at Taipei.



I am now getting sick of Taiwan and want to move either back to Singapore or to the Gulf.

My contacts are in India. I can easily get a job back in India but I don't wish to go back to India any time soon.



I really don't have any contacts in the Gulf. In Singapore, I have my old colleagues but I really don't want to go back to my former work places again.



I am more interested in the Gulf. Singapore is my second choice.

what is meant by technical writer ?

A technical writer is a person who writes the documentation for the software - Help Files, User Manuals, Admin Guides, White Papers, API reference manuals and so on.



Technical Writers also help document things like Data Flow Diagrams and Process Flow Diagrams and in writing error messages.

Anyways, I'd suggest you to check out some consultants like Sampoorna, Alps etc. which do a lot of recruiting in the gulf. Google them and mail them your resume. Also look up online editions of gulf based newspapers, gulf based classified websites and other job sites like monster, jobsahead, naukri etc.



Sending your resume to someone unknown in India (acquaintance on the boards notwithstanding) and expecting them to look for a job for you is a sheer waste of time, energy and hopes.
