3D Studio Max vs. Maya 5.0 Unlimited

Hi all,

Is there a graphic artist in the house who could tell me which one is better for 3D animation, 3DS or Maya. I believe Maya is the simpler one while there is less limitation in 3DS, so could anyone tell me which is better?

I think both 3D and maya have their distinct features,nowadays most of the new projects are made in maya.But the new version of 3D also has many features.Will get back with more details
