No offence, but isnt it better to listen to music as it was intended by its original creators?

Are we confusing DJing with Remixing? Much as I hate remixes, I think DJing has more to do with playing popular music. (If remixes are that popular only God can help us).

Our type of music ....hmmm .. well i can only speak for myself .. Retro, Pop, Trance, Techno, Lounge....

Mmmm... still looking for adjectives to describe the music scene in the city. Can u help me in describing a very disgusting vomit, comprehensively?

Ok, so maybe i'm too picky but i'm sure most of the towners will agree when i say the djs in town are all wussy.

But the real problem is with the crowds i think. Djs only play what the crowds like. And the crowds seem to like only songs with naked babes in them...

Djs must take up the initiative and play specific genres. Peopel will take sometime to get accostomed but at least then there's scope for genuine music that way.

I dont think so. They're are closely interlinked - if you do one, you will want to do the other and so on. Lemme put it this way - a remix is produced when the DJ is at his/her creative best. I did want to give more credit to the DJs than defining them as the human equivalent of an mp3 player (i.e. playing popular songs one after another). DJing also involves sensing the mood / crowd, smart transitioning from song to song (or from piece to piece of diffferent songs) adding spl effects / sound samples from other songs, fiddling around with the audio controls etc etc :)

Despite all the 'creativity' as mentioned above, I would rather admire the talent of those singers/songwriters/orchestrators who create music, rather than the cut n paste tamasha that is produced by the DJs (no offence again).
