From one of those forwarded emails: This is Naresh. I graduated from REC Warangal in 95. I have
been here in the US since then. Ever since I started
working in IT in 1998, I have had a band here in
Raleigh, NC, called NARK. We played very actively in
Raleigh, in the local clubs and bars, composed our own
variety of original rock music... a blend of Rock
music with our Indian influences (folk/film and
classical music).

I had to move to Lafayette from Raleigh at the
beginning of this year (2003). So, my band doesn\'t
exist currently. However, we have put up some of our
recordings in the form of an album called \"One for the
road\", on mp3.com.

I am amazed at the extraordinary response we have
received on the web. Our songs are currently at the
number 1, 2, 4 and 5 spots on mp3\'s Progressive Rock
charts.

We are at number 3 on the Funk charts, number 6 on the
Guitar Rock charts.
Our number, \"Raag Rock\" is at number 72 on the Rock
charts. (We are ahead of major artists like REM, Eric
Clapton and Counting Crows). These artists have a
huge fan following of easily upto a million fans. We,
on the other hand, have only our friends and contacts
to listen to our music. I encourage you to please
visit my band\'s page, and stream our songs for free. I
really, genuinely, feel the kind of music we have put
out there is unique and innovative. Also please
forward my band\'s link to ALL your
friends, family, relatives, contacts who are music
enthusiasts. (After all, you don\'t often hear of an
Indian band hitting big on mp3\'s rock charts!)
