I wonder we Indians have this typical mentality of pushing things a little too much whenever a person remotely associated with India achives somethings. I saw this star bulliten then they said \" Norah jones has an Indian connection\". So her dad is an India, whats we got to do with it. Same thing with Kalpana chawla, our media called One Indian killed - how was she an Indian?. Same with Nasser hussain - the brit cricket captain, we called him Captain of Indian origin, born in chennai and all that. I feel we are desperate for reinventing ourselves, we are not able to indentify ourselves so we are finding all the hooks that connect to india! - Is\'nt this right?. By the way this might sound a bit out of topic, please suggest me some cool dance tracks, the ones frequently played, i kinda lost touch!

You are right. We are some despos struggling for identity after we lost an identity of a country where cattle to man ratio was 1:3 - not 1 cattle for three men, it\'s 3 cattles for one man! I agree, we have to get rid of this awkward and cheap mentality. The people who we are praising proudly do not even like to be called an Indian. They give 10\'s of silly reasons for not liking India. They feel proud to be american, canadian, briton etc. etc. but not Indian. And we... hah strange... What about pervez musharraf, he is also an indian born. As usual a couple of months before we praised him a lot when he visited India... and now?

Well, from news articles it does sound like Ravi was busy in the New York area when he was 59 (take Norah\'s age and subtract it from Ravi\'s minus 10 months). The only reason for her to be connected to India is because of her DNA and that is it. I believe that it is the Desi MEDIA, and not the populace, that admires this \'India Born\' or \'Has connections to India\' type of thing. Media cannot see that yet. Sooner or later, it will. Just curious Vrinda .. why VM to begin with and a later acknowledgement of your first name. Thanks.
