KANK a crack

To cut a long story short, Kabhi Alvidaa is a stupid film. This is not because the subject evokes nothing somewhere deep inside, but the treatment is flawed big time. Frankly, I did not expect much from a Karan Johar film anyway. He is like Subhash Ghai, people revere him as a good director, period. How good a director can get when he tells as rather 2 hour plot in 3 hours and 20 Mins with million gallons of tears interlaced. I think this itself makes him an average director with pots of money under his belt, to spend, to shoot a rather Indian film in New York. What a waste! Why New York? Don’t know.

There is no substance in the film. So much so that the very beginning of the central theme of the film is a stupid ‘Black beast’! How damn lame. Also, wherever the ‘wrong couple’ fooled around we have the right people bang on the same street to catch them grope red handed. Now what the heck were they doing there? Just when we felt too much is too much and murmured “Get a room”! They really did, to make love. As if this was the reason for the stupid love (sex) starved couple to get along. All the long walks, sentimental dialogues in Grand central between two people with their married life made in hell was to …get a room. Nice!

However, why does the lady get a room? Because she is not happy with her arranged marriage? And why is she not happy with her arranged marriage? Because the director does not believe in it either. I found the trail! Hence, the lady starts to think that the arranged marriage sucks, because some dude ( Shah Rukh in this case) explains this to her in a park bench, that people get married just like that. No real reason. This logic makes sense to the lady 3 years later and she sleeps with the same dude who downloaded the logic to her.

My intent here is not to confuse people…it’s about the crazy liberty that Karan Johar took with this film. With this film, he has proved that there are miles to go before he himself matures, then comes the casting. What the hell is Big B doing in the film..whats his role?

Kabhi Alvidaa… is Karan’s ultimate low point. I thought it can’t get worser than Kuch Kuch Hota Hai..but our man did it with this. This is a bad film with good Abhishek Bachchan.

I won’t say don’t watch because I know you will anyway

Exactly !!!!!

No one should burn their time in vain for 3 hours on this movie.

Apart from great character picturisation of shahrukh and preety everyother artist is below their strenght.

it does hold the charm of grandness, with chic styling, modern script outlook, wierd potraying of AB and those white guys swaying on hindi tunes.

The films consist of rather unneccesary plots to highlight certain aspect of relationships. like the ballad

Out the best hindi flick is OMKAARA
