BALAJI DHARSHAN at TIRUMALA-TIRUPATI MADE EASY.

by Sri » Mon Oct 17, 2005 1:22 pm

Balaji Dharshan in Tirumala-Tirupati is made easy only with the help of Touts and Agents honorably calling themselves as public relationship officers (PRO) of several organizations.

This time we went to Tirumala-Tirupati for Dharshan. We went for the Rs50/- Sudharshan token. We were allotted -(Q complex) entry timing at exactly 48 hours later time. Somebody told me that even after entering the Q complex you have to further crawl/move for 4 more hours for the final Dharshan.

We were lucky this some. We somehow managed to get the help of an Agent. He moved here and there and somehow managed to get the piece of letter addressed to Andhra Bank signed by a member at Chairman’s office.

He took totally Rs 350/- from us. This includes his fees as well as the bribe money given at some TTD office.( That s what he said)

I don’t know how he managed to get the signatures with in half an hour.

We then remitted Rs 100/- per head at the Andhra Bank counter situated inside the VIP Cell (Popularly called Cellar entry).

We completed the Dharshan within 70 minutes.

Basically we did not want to bribe

I went initially to the Vijaya Bank complex at Tirumala hoping to get special dharshan tickets.

The pilgrims waiting in the queue were clueless.

Believe me, one person did not know the type of ticket he is standing to purchase.

He told me that he is ready to take anything available at the earliest.

Such was the pandemonium over there.

By the time 1030 hrs all the tickets for the next day were sold out.

They said there is no ‘special dharshan ticket for the next day’.

I did not know about the advanced reservation also.

Nobody guides there properly.

So we took the short route and took the VIP Cellar ticket.

tirupati has become very commercial and the administration/priests are corrupt...i'd say Chilkur Balaji temple is a 1000 times better option to visit, for a serious devotee...

Those With Throbbing Temples ... Have To Throng Temples ... The Bigger The Noisier The Busier THE BETTER! ***** Out Of The Way ... Busy With Devotees "Running" Round, As Per One's Desire / Vow ... Like "Visa", say.

i think its more of a competition than devotion. its like they say " well i went to tirupathi so n so many times" and others try and beat it! very very very distant family members of mine do that! ( quite sad really)
