Chowmahal, Taramati

I can't compete with Sujatha on being descriptive but thought I'd bring this hidden treasure to notice. The palace is a lovely surprise, tucked away behind Mecca Masjid, accessible via Laad Bazaar (near Charminar). It is such a contrast to the surrounding hustle bustle. Though only part of it is open it is quite large. Ticket costs Rs. 50.



Visited Golconda for a while. I went all the way up & down in an hour. Took a guide with me for Rs.100 ( Am I turning into Sujatha?)



Then we went to Taramati for the cultural show. It was a pleasant evening, nice location with the lit up monument in the background & Hema Malini & troop dancing away.

No I haven't been to Sohail but been past it few times as usual. Can't believe how much it's developed. It was just a cafe before. And what's that palace next to it! How many functional halls around here!!

Timings for what?



Golconda Fort - last entry 5:30pm, Sound & Light show at 6:30 in English (Beware of machhar! Don't wear shorts!).



Chowmahal - 11am - 6pm ( think u cld go later when all the lights are switched on too from 7pm - not sure)



Taramati - Festival was for 4 days but the monument will be open - don't know the timings.
