Hyderabad Airport ? Do we need only One? or more Airports ?

Hyderabad Airport ? Do we need only One? or more Airports ?

The present size and population of Hyderabad need two or three Airports.



Use of current airport by Mod after innuaguration of the new one would

probably cause more noise pollution by fighter jets than commercial ones.



If London can have three airports (Heathrow,Gatwick & London City) , Newyork can have three (J.F.K,Newark,Laguadia) , Paris can have (Charles DeGaule,Orly) and so on and so forth,,,Why should Hyderabad have only one passenger Airport ?



Do we have more better transport system within the city and its suburbs ?



Do we have less sound pollution ?



Having more than one Airport will not only distribute the traffic flow in the city, but boost the tourism potential as well.

Don't know about a 2nd airport but they could certainly sort out the queueing system at the present one.

At the damn airport there are atleast 20 people to see the passenger off.Its so damn irritating when the family members try to see the person off and they come to the entrance and block it.Whenever I leave,just my brother acompanies me. :evil: :evil: :evil:

once the new airport is constructed here, the existing one at Begumpet is going to close. the real estate mafia as well as the military (IAF in particular) are already eyeing the prime land....



and hyderabad does not require more than one airport. the size of the air traffic in is not that high. but the new one's suppossed to be huge and modern. lets see what happens...

Yeah but will it happen?It was never on the news and the govt. kept on saying that the new airport will come for like 5 years.Does it really take that long for an airport?

BTW when is it gonna open,any idea? :D :D

i think the preliminary work of the airport has started...ie acquiring land, marking boundaries, allocating tenders etc. it wud definitely take another 5 years before its done....

and maybe another 6-7 years before we get a new mall/luxury apartments/IAF training school in Begumpet...:roll:

advantage of the small begumpet airport is that u can quickly find the exit when needed...



or as Akhil says, u can come by train upto begumpet and catch an MMTS train to whereever u r going :P
