Why is Hyderabad not declared a metro city?

i don\'t know why hyderabad is not declared as a metro. the features that it should be declared as metro:<br><br>
1. having more population than what being declared a metro generally requires<br>
2. second silicon valley of india<br>
3. having prestigious institutes like IIIT, ISB and IICT<br>
4. multinational companies like microsoft, oracle and motorola and leading IT giants like satyam, infosys and wipro based in hyderabad<br>
5. even in biotech, leading with maors like DR REDDY LABS<br>
6. i understand it is not as cosmo, but not a single month passes without a new restaurant or pub opening<br>
7. don\'t forget IMAX - the only imax theatre in india with 3D format<br><br>
what\'s up? hyderabad is very much a happening city!

Reddy labs is not a Bio-tech company...its a pharmaceutical company...<br><br>

we cant have more than one capital for a state. We cant have more than one metro for a region. Metros develop by history. It needs long long history. Hyderabad dont have deep history to be declared as a metro.Since it was not a part of the old presidency it cant be declared so
