Why the fuss over the helmets? Personally, I\'m for it bcoz I \"want to keep my head while all others are losing theirs\" ! :-) That was from the poem \"If\" and is not to be taken literally!
Hair loss bcoz of helmets? Thats news to me!
Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you are right.

Hey Sam, you are right - that was the reason I was asking about the places were I can buy the helmet. Anyway, thanx for the information provided by you! Prevention is better than cure, isn\'t it!!!

I hate to look like I\'m happy I was proved right, but, well, see? People are madly buying helmets till and on the 30th of April, and on the morning of May 1, when the rule is supposed to come into effect, it is called off indefinitely.

THE ACTUAL REASON FOR MAKING HELMETS COMPULSORY.
Arre yaar, what with the economic downturn and what not, the sale of cars has really gone down - catch my drift? People don\'t like wearing helmets - they stop buying bikes - they start buying cars - ppl dont have to wear helmets any more - ppl happy - sale of cars goes up - yuvrybaady happy.
Actually I have been to other cities and I think those the roads are much better than in Hyd. The drivers are the worst in Hyd. You see, no one has much driving sense, and that esp. applies to 2 wheelers - we drive like mad. In a helmet your senses are dulled. Your line of sight decreases and your hearing also dulls. So you automatically slow down - so in the end I think it mite just work out to our benefit. Though, of course, I myself like to ride fast and ride hard, it might just work out to our benefit, you know, guys?

\"A mother and a child use to live on a hill-station, which was located in a remote area. One fine morning the child got annoyed with the behaviour of mother and he went to the edge of the hill and shouted words “I HATE YOU”, “I HATE YOU’ the same words got back to the child as it was a valley, the little child frightened & scared came back to his mother, she understood the child and asked the little child to yell the words now “I LOVE YOU”, “I LOVE YOU” kid shouted same words repeated back towards the child, and he felt very happy and delighted.\"

IT says what you are; you will get same reaction as your action. Today Rules are similar as child in the story and ignorance is pleaded. To err is human and may at times commit mistakes and suffer set-backs, But to repeat a mistake is a crime, A wise and positive individual learns and benefits not only from his mistakes, but also from those of others.

Why do you guys/gals talk so much about helmets, rules etc. Whether our Government passes the rule or relaxes it, don\'t you think that it is our moral responsibility to wear it and not jeopardize life? God forbid if something happens to the bread winner of a family, who will take care of that family? Will this society or you guys take care?

P. S.: Over 1,250 deaths occured due to head injuries last year (2002). Wear helmets... otherwise... Hell + Met!

Flower... don\'t take that literally. It depends on individual\'s decision. But, once it becomes rule then it is must. Better eduacate and motivate people to use it but not impose it. Personally i don\'t like wearing a helmet. That\'s all. Our country\'s biggest problem in population. Can anyone impose compulsory family planning operation after 1st child??? I am for that.
