I AM IN URGENT NEED OF A+ BLOOD FOR A RELATIVE'S HEART BYPASS SURGERY ON SEPTEMBER 15TH 2004.



I APPEAL TO FELLOW HYDERABADIS TO VOLUNTARILY REGISTER TO BE AVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF SURGERY IN CASE ADDITIONAL BLOOD IS NEEDED.

NO BLOOD IS NEEDED AS OF NOW. JUST NEED 6 PEOPLE TO SIGN UP SAYING THAT IN CASE IT IS NEEDED TOMMOROW THEY WOULD BE AVAILABLE. JUST GOT A CALL FROM CARE HOSPITAL SAYING THAT THEY WILL POSTPONE THE SURGERY IF 6 PPL DON'T SIGN UP

Good news is... They have the blood.



I called up Mr.Osmani Sept 14th 10:30 in the night and he said they have collected enough blood for the operation. Anyway I left my number for them to get in touch if they need my help.



I pray the operation is a success.

BY GOD'S GRACE, THE SURGERY WENT OFF WELL. MY UNCLE IS NOW RECUPERATING IN POST-OP. ALL HIS PARAMETERS ARE NORMAL.



A BIG, BIG THANKS TO THE BIG HEARTED PEOPLE OF HYD WHO OVERWHELMED US WITH THEIR MAGNANIMOUS HELP.



THIS MORNING ALL 7 DONORS WHO HAD VOLUNTEERED HAD TURNED UP DESPITE THEIR BUSY SCHEDULES AND THE REQUIRED AMOUNT OF BLOOD WAS AVAILABLE DURING SURGERY.

Maybe I am wrong but here's my understadning of the blood groups.



Blood groups are of following types.

A+; A-, B+, B-, AB+, AB-, O+ and O-.



O's are universal donors. Az you can be a donor to everyone.

AB- is the rarest group.



Any Medical student can correct me If I am wrong or add to our understanding.

btw, the concept of Universal Donor (O) or Universal Recipient (AB) are not accepted by doctors these days. they prefer exact matches and might consider Universal donor or recipient status only in extreme emergency.

yep, ive seen that happen. n since, there were quite a few ppl with the reqd blood-type, didnt get in touch. if ever, anyone requires "O+" blood, lemme know
