sorry for the delayed post all, the net conked net out at home till now...:D

well...i wuz there at 8:45 sharp and IMFB n Jungleboy were already a couple of pegs old at that time....btw, it was 'couples only-no stags' nite at 6th Element, but IMFB's yankee accent opened doors for us stags...:D

met jungle for the first time and i too ordered Bloody Mary that the two of em were having...a nice chili-hot concoction, just the way i like it....

in the middle of all talk n loud music, IMFB n I ordered neat vodka shots aftr the Bloody Marys. here IMFB created history....he possibly became the first person on Earth to be offered a straw to drink his neat vodka, by the bartender... this scene was the hilite of the evening...

when the club or whateva numbers began to get to me, i tried to get the DJ to play some hiphop...but sadly hiphop night was friday :(...

doent matter....i decided to drown my sorrows with one more vodka shot...

somewhere arnd this time DonnieBrasco n Jasz arrived...didnt notice who came first...both looked alike....musta been my vodka :?

saw some single chix dancing and decide to join em on da floor...but the nice bouncer politely said he was sorry to inform me that the dance floor was not for stags...he seemd really sorry to tell me that while he escorted me out of the dance floor, hand on shoulder...poor chap...but anyway...what a waste...girls dancing alone...:(

came to know BW, AR, Az n PSD were hogging chicken at Chickin...that told me that i was hungry too....

proposed dinner....and we decided to go to Metropolis for some grub. everyone piled into my car and before i knew it, we were there....

chicken fried rice with salan....good enuf to end my hunger..over a heated discussion on film making - directing, scripting, writing etc etc...what else did u expect with a couple of movie fanatics in the group!

burrrrrpp.... excuse me...

time to go. dropped them back at 6th Element so that they cud get their vehicles...and i was back home, again, before i knew it...wtf....no, this time in knew it: 15 minutes flat on the near empty roads 8)

when i was happily decompressing in the loo, i got a call from Donnie saying jungle boy had lost his house keys, could i please look in my car...i got out of the bathroom in the fastest time since...since...well, since i can remember and raced downstairs to the car park...

bad news: no keys

conveyed the news n crashed onto the bed nxt to my sleeping wife n son...

well...a great nite out with the boys! shud do it more often! u rock guys! :D
wtf? i no longer care if my posts hurt yr feelings

So the night did pretty much go the way CAD man explained. Except mine and Donnie's night went on till about 3:30am..After the key incident (which was to my office where I was planning to spend the night), Donnie waited with me till I got in touch with my aunt (who had the spare key to my house because my key was locked in the office). Then took me to Nampally to pick up the key (around 2am), and then drove me on his scooter all the way to Madhapur dropped me at my place (around 3am) and drove back home..He reached home at 3:30am...And he let me use his cell to call New York about five times without hesitation..

thanks buddy...your the man..

Well....looks like i don't really need to say much...the word was already spread.

Bad luck of the nite was jungle losing his keys...but good looking out by donnie helped out a little...

I was quite disappointed that a lot more of you guys didn't show up...maybe next weekend? let's see....
Does anyone even read these?

i tried to get the DJ to play some hiphop...but sadly....

The DJ s disappoint often, or else they even be arrogant at times.

but the nice bouncer politely said he was sorry to inform me that the dance floor was not for stags

You are lucky. Sometimes these bouncers become bully. They just behave offensively or rudely with the guests.
I had experienced the worst.

were hogging chicken at Chickin

Let them be careful. Avian Flu is coming close by. It s knocking our doors.

and i was back home, again, before i knew it...wtf....no, this time in knew it: 15 minutes flat on the near empty roads

It is extremely unfortunate to drive in heavily drunken state. We become guiltier on the next day morning.

a great nite out with the boys!

Unfortunately it is always a restricted gathering.

Sixth Element isn't all that bad...the bouncers at first did say that it was couples only ...but they heard that a whole bunch of people from FHDB were expected and they let us in....(not really....but it would make lots of ppl happy)...

I did find the part about the bartender thinking i was gonna need a straw for a shot of vodka....i wonder what he was drinking....

Nite out with the guys...no one ever said it was supposed to be that....the other gender didn't show up. so unfortuantely it was just the guys. i'm glad that some ppl didn tmake excuses for not coming....

we should plan it out better next time...meet up somewhere else, go to the bar together, and end the night with dinner (not chicken fried rice from metro) from a decent restaurant...that way the people that dont want to come to the bar can always meet before the bar or for dinner..

Sri, you being a doctor, you don't know that Avian flu is only spread by touching on coming in close proximity with birds afflicted with the disease (now it seems this has spread to human to human infections too) and not by eating cooked birds as cooking kills the virus?????

Anyways, must have been a great night out...and yeah there should be more people....even if they leave before others....

BETTY TOLD

DEAR BETTY

THESE ARE THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION http://www.who.int/csr/disease/avian_in ... herePOINTS POINTS REGARDING THE SPREAD OF AVIAN FLU.THEY HAVE NOT COMMITTED ANYTHING ABOUT THE IMPROPERLY COOKED FOOD.WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE HALF FRIED CHICKEN IN RESTAURENTS LIKE METRO?

Direct contact with infected poultry, or surfaces and objects contaminated by their faeces, is presently considered the main route of human infection. To date, most human cases have occurred in rural or periurban areas where many households keep small poultry flocks, which often roam freely, sometimes entering homes or sharing outdoor areas where children play. As infected birds shed large quantities of virus in their faeces, opportunities for exposure to infected droppings or to environments contaminated by the virus are abundant under such conditions. Moreover, because many households in Asia depend on poultry for income and food, many families sell or slaughter and consume birds when signs of illness appear in a flock, and this practice has proved difficult to change. Exposure is considered most likely during slaughter, defeathering, butchering, and preparation of poultry for cooking. There is no evidence that properly cooked poultry or eggs can be a source of infection.

I am back in town on 31st evening.
We can also have a haleem-n-biryani party with food brought from 'shadab' around that time before the month of ramzan ends... :P

The food in Metro cannot be half-cooked, it might be overcooked or cooked or fried too many times. You can surely get food poisoning from there, but avian flue...naah.  In fact, if we are not supposed to come in contact with 'sick' chicken, it makes more sense to eat out so that by the time we have the chicken, it has been cooked to kill the virus

In India there are less chances for this disease to spread presently.

Secondly even cooking up to 70 degree can clear all viruses.

But in western areas whether or not infected they clear all the suspected species(Birds).

I will point tomorrow exactly what the medical textbooks say.

I don’t know why you are getting irritated.

The answer to your question is that he could have been refering to you and CAD's banter or you and Sri's argument. One thing's for sure though, the thread got spammed.

You do the rest of the math.
