Hi. Since you all use computers, many lucky ones own one too, and rest of you dream of owning one soon

, here is a word of caution. For the sake of saving a few bucks, do not, I repeat,
DO NOT, buy refurbished, remarked, fake or duplicate hardware. This holds true for the entire system but especially for critical components like
motherboard, processor, hard drive and memory. Remember, a motherboard is the most important part of your computer. Choose it with extreme care. Go for the best within your budget if you can. If not, then I suggest drop some item like expensive sound system or any other non-critical device like webcam, CD writer etc which can always be purchased later and invest the money saved in a good motherboard. Next is memory. Always use the fastest FSB memory supported by the motherboard for optimum performance. Never use anything less than 400 MHz FSB memory for a Pentium 4. Same goes for AMD Athlon & higher. Always insist on a good brand of memory. If the price seems too good to be true, it is 100% fake. So beware of such deals.
For your information, memory market is flooded with fake Hynix to the extent of 95%.!! Next is Processor. Best bet is to go in for box processor. That takes care of most problems associated with processors. Go in for the largest Hard Drive within your budget. Prefer 7200 RPM. SATA scores over ATA. Speed, performance, reliability & noise levels are features to look out for while selecting your drive. Finally, remember to buy from reputed dealers, not necessarily with big showrooms, but those whom you trust.
