SHANKARJI MEMORIAL SCHOOL IS SITUATED IN EXHIBITION GROUNDS, NAMPALLY HYD AND IS BEING RUN BY EXHIBITION SOCIETY. THE SAME SOCIETY IS ALSO RUNNING VANITA MAHAVIDYALAYA AND SO MANY OTHER INSTITUTIONS. WHEN I STUDIED THERE, THIS SCHOOL WAS CO-EDUCATED. BUT AFTER OUR BATCH OF 7TH CLASS IN 1977-78, THEY STOPPED TAKING BOYS AND IS ONLY FOR GIRLS FROM THEN ONWARDS.
