I am curious to know what hyderabadis think about science education in high schools.

Science is partof school education, there should be more practicality in teaching methods

As long as the teaching system is geared towards getting good marks in the examination, there cannot be any progress. The education has to become more decentralized with more power to the individual schools and greater freedom for the teachers. Only then will the students be encouraged to innovate.

I wonder if it is a little too late to enter the discussion! However, I need to know a few things Vayuputra! Are you looking for reasons why science should be there in schools and colleges, are you trying to delve into the reasons behind our Hi-Tec CM\'s denouncement of humanities, or is your board looking for a reason to voice dis-illusionment about the present education system. If you are still active, Please get back and I\'ll willingly carry on the discussion. Once I see where it is headed that is! :-)

was busy last coupla weeks...now i've restarted, tho not as profilic as i used to be...
