Career prospects in hyderabad

I wish to relocate to hyderabad in the near future.I just wanted some information on the IT majors which are there in the city;and the kind of recruitment scenario there currently.

Can someone inform about the big names (Indian and MNC) that are in hyderabad on a decent scale;and their expansion activities there?

If U r a Fresher,Bangalore may have more Opportunities for you,but its getting crowded day by day :(



In Hyderabad,there are many MNC's and almost all are located in a close belt (Unlike Bangalore where they're spread all across) but Freshers Opportunities are few and happen irregularly.



If u r an Experienced Pro, better wait for senior IT pros here who would like to Answer ur queries. :)

some top names (Indian and Foreign Cos):



Microsoft, Oracle, Accenture, Computer Associates, IBM, DELL, Satyam, Infy, Wipro, CSC, Cognizant, Infotech, Virtusa, Keane, Convergys, Kanbay, Verizon, MosChip, AppLabs, Patni, Qualcomm, Polaris.....and many more. if u are experienced, there wud be no problem getting a job. freshers wud find it tougher but its not impossible.

GE, Genpact, NCR / TeraData, ADP Wilco, Lanco, SumTotal, Sonata...



Plus a good score of'em mushroomed in Aditya Enclave, Ameerpet, SR Nagar.

Thanks for the encouragement friends - currently i am in bangalore and would perfectly agree about bangalore steadily degrading(including the weather).

I have heard that hyderabad is much better as far as quality of life goes - atleast you see less dents in cars.

Some specifics on cognizant ,tcs,deloitte and CSC would be appreciated - specifically how big they are in hyderabad.

TCS is 1000+. CTS, Deloitte are approx 500+ and growing. CSC started its ops here last yr and growing fast now...

if its Ivy Comptech, lemme tell u that among the BPO/ITES companies, it is known to be one of the best paymasters. its main business is online poker and gambling and the folks here support the players. they are also taught to play poker and its rules/cheats etc since its necessary while answering queries :D



if u get an opportunity there, i'd say go for it. it sounds like a fun company! ppl who know someone in there can give more info.

AFAIK, in hydbad they have US based projects like Amex etc, and on-site opps are available. i heard work environs are good too. i'll have to find out more info from friends working there...
