Guys and girls , First of all congratulations to all of you who are blessed and are in hyderabad celeberating this beautiful occassion , How i wish i could be there too .



I wanted to ask you wether there is any perticuler site where we can get to see the video´s or take a look at pictures of every nite wherever garba n dandiya´s are taking place in hyderabad and secunderabad ( or may be some places in perticular ) , As i am from hyderabad too and its been ages since i have played and seen any familiar faces ,

A True Crossover

Dandiya fever has caught on big time with foreigners going in for dance classes



THEY CAME to help polish our accents... and fell for our ishtyle of letting legs and batons talk at the same time. So, this group of teachers from the US, now divides their day into two productive parts. Part I - they help green card-aspirants roll out those r's and z's in the deep-throated Yankee way. Part II - they sweat it out at the garba-dandiya classes at Steps, the dance school at Banjara Hills. It is another matter that the instructor has to remind them not to beat each other's batons to pulp. "We are only into the second day. It will get better," responds Tisha to repeated entreaties for `subtlety'.

The six-member team is here as part of the International Cultural Exchange and teaches at Vishwas, the American Accent Training Centre at Ameerpet. They were bitten by the dandiya bug at the Dasara celebration hosted by the Rotary Club in Kompally.

"It was so vibrant. We wanted to have a go at it," says Amanta, a native of Oklahoma. After the six-day course in Steps, (at a fee of Rs. 600) the teachers have serious plans to perform at the Dasara festivities they get invited to. ...

Thnks for your reply , I am in panama and no here there is nothing much happening in Navratri , Last i actually danced and enjoyed navratri in hyderabad was in 1997 , and since 98 i have been abroad , then again from 2000 to 2003 i really enjoyed navratri was in indonesia ( jakarta ) ,



But still i miss those days in hyderabad , All friends used to go together in Country club , Gujrathi school , Hydebasti & some places in hyderabad which i dont recollect the names now , And now since i see internet has become so much easier to communicate and get news of whats happening i thought even this one i might not miss it , But recently i read in Deccan news website that they are not even allowing phones with camera in such places so i guess it will become difficult for me to see some familiar faces ,
