This time we found some time to visit this Place.
We started our journey from the Begumpet Railway station.
We reached there at 1330 hrs.
We had tough time, finding a vegetarian restaurent.
All were Mutton type restaurents around Begumpet railway station.
Finally we saw veg fast food corner Shiva Tiffins.
The food was average.
The Mumbai bound Hussain Sagar express reached Begumpet at around 1440 hrs.
The charges are Rs31/- per head.
After running slowly It reached Vikarabad Railway Jn at 1600 hrs.
This is a typical village.
Autos were readily available outside the railway station.
Auto guy demanded Rs 40/- for going to Anantha giri temple at the distance of 6 Kms.
The road from Vikarabad to Ananthagiri was nice, but it is very remote.
After a distance of 3 Kms the road goes up and up.
At 6th Km Ananthagiri Village starts. This is a tiny village but very calm.
I saw a TB hospital/Sanatorium over there.
The male ward was just on the roadside.
The condition was pathetic.
Finally we reached the AnanthaPadamanabha Swamy temple.
This is a small temple.
Still construction is going on.
The priest is a young Madhwa Brahmin.
We spoke with him in Kannada.
He was very happy.
He explained all stories related with this temple.
We were the only pilgrim group over there.
This temple is a small hill/jungle type temple with absolute calmness.
The auto guy told me that in selected days of the week the crowd gears up.
Somebody overthere told me that During Nizams period the temple was shaped in to Muslim Mosque style.
The government has wakened by late and now constructing the temple in typical Hindu way.
After sitting there for few minutes, enjoing the absolute calmness, we returned to Vikarabad by the same auto.
The autoguy charged Rs 70/- in total.
We took Coffee at Malligarjuna Restaurent in front of the Vikarabad railway station. It was wonderful.
We returned by Purna -Hyderabad Passenger Train.
It was really a nice trip.
