Grandma's back to Basic

http://www.grandmashyd.com/



The above restaurant used to exist just next to "Southern Spice".

For the the last 2 weeks, it's closed & there is a "Under Renovation"

board.



Does anyone know when it's going to be back or if it has temporarily

shifted to another location. Their old phone numbers don't work.

It started off as a italian food joint named 'Galoping Gooseberrys'...then changed to Grandmas....dunno whats in store next...

their Italian food was a joke...they served burgers and no pizzas. the waiter had the guts to tell me that pizza is bit italian :shock:

i havent been there yet after it chngd to various names and finally ended up as 'Grandma's' something.



btw, kya ch**ya web site banaye woh logaan...:roll: just scanned their menu and published it in the web
wtf? i no longer care if my posts hurt yr feelings :roll:

Their SouthIndian food was excellent. Fish etc was the best I have eaten
in Hyderabad.

btw, did u manage to visit other andhra/seafood restaurants u were asking abt? chk out FishLand at ameerpet or lakdikapul.

I tried to visit Coastal Spice(Greenlands). But apparently it has closed

down. Visited SouthernSpice - liked it, but they are much fewer varieties

of fish as compared to Grandma's.



Haven't visited anything else yet.



Is Fishland a decent restaurant - I saw it from outside & it looked sidey - hence I was apprehensive of going there, will try it maybe this weekend.

Fishland is a decent place...u can take yr family there. its quite a big restaurant comfortably air conditioned. Seventh Heaven in punjagutta also has decent andhra food.



for bong style fish n rice, only place i can think of is the Bengali Samithi canteen, nr Ramakrishna Mission, opp Indira Park (via lower tankbund).

i get my quota of home cooked bong food at my in-laws' place at least 2-3 times a month...so never had to visit this place. but i heard from a bong colleague that its good.
