The Last Time I Visited SPENCERS Was in 1996.....So Don' Remember Much!!!!

Hyd Central Will Rock Once PVR Opens on 5th Level.Yesterday Whole Evening I was Roaming in Central.Ohri's Damn Costly & Noodle Bar Suxx!!! BAskin Robbins is Wayyy Expensive!!!

Well..Like any other high-class mall it tries to cater to the needs of the filthy rich in the city.More than half of the people who visit it are jus there to window shop and the rest .. "Bird-watching"! :roll:

I havent seen Spencer's in Chennai.Mebbe after PVR cinema opens der, it mite give some competition to Prasads.

I don't know whether I was plain unlucky but I hated both Bombay blues and Noodle bar...haven't tried copper chimney but my friend said it was not good either...Ohri's food court is of course standard stuff...

One thing I don't like about Hyd Central, as comapred to Lifestyle or SHoppers stop is the over-friendlienss of the staff, i.e. the moment you stabnd somewhere, fingering anything, they come and ask you if they can help you and if you return anythign after trying, they ask you why you don't want it

Now, most people who work at these malls shd not be asking reasons for not buying something...I mean, as wisecrack says, there are way too many window shoppers in malls...

Also, i don't like the separation of clothes according to brands rather than according to style, makes it difficult to search for a certain style...

And, the stuff that they keep, or the brands are usually the higher priced ones, as compared to shoppers or lifestyle..however don't agree with teh 'filthy rich' concept though, I suppose only Marks and Spencers can qualify for that label

Have never seen Spencers, so can't comment on that...

well i am actually not sure it closed down...the day before y'day the shutter was down at arnd. 6...but I never saw a decent crowd over there on even a single day since its been there...

I have seen both the malls, these comparisions are based on factual information only.

Bangalore Central :arrow:

- Located at M.G. Road (Heart of the city)

- Very Minimum parking space

- Lacks Multiplexes/ Cinema screens

- Food is very expensive and does not offer many choices.

- Interiors are not very attractive

Hyderabad Central :arrow:

- Located at Panjagutta (Heart of the city)

- Three cinema screens are coming soon.

- Ample parking space

- Reasonable priced good and tasty food.

- Interiors are great and very pleasing.
